condemning sunsetting for all the reasons everyone who was against it and re-issuing stated months ago, would be laughable if those of us here didn't invest so much time and money in this game.
Should have gotten rid of the pinnacles and designed content that would demand the acquisition of new loot. Loot made for that new content. Champions and the mods we get from artifacts is a single step in this direction. Content and challenges should be where we get the desirable things. Challenging Lost Sectors was another smart idea. I would have never done the shallow things otherwise, unless forced as busybody work in a quest.
Moon weapons in Shadowkeep would have been more desirable if they did more damage or had extra effects on Hive. This wouldn't have affected Crucible and would have incentivized people to get the Loud Lullaby rather than use what ever 120 they were already in possession of. Or any other weapon type that fits your fancy. It would give the controlled illusion of being more powerful while managing "powercreep" and help me select which DIFFERENT weapons to bring where. So it wasn't always mtn top and recluse.
The clowns in this place defending the idea that we should get back on the treadmill to re-earn a gun we were already in possession of... with the same perks and a short shelf life... are more detrimental to the game than anything else. More than Arbalest. Bastion. Stasis. Whisper of Fissure. P2P. Cheating. Lagging. Ddos. I have tolerated all of those things because nothing else plays or feels like Destiny. It's uniquely fun and one of my favorite games.
But it seems like the company is committed to taking away reasons to play, rather than generating them. Though I absolutely adore Stasis. Then the sycophants pour from the woodwork to talk about how imperative it is for the longevity of the game. "There's hundreds of guns and people only play with 4 of them. We need sunsetting." Now we got 18 new weapons and people are still using all of 4. And this has been the best sandbox for weapons in forever. Whether you're mad about 120 rpm range or not. The variety of viable primaries is excellent compared to some previous iterations.
Now we have bloated loot pools from every source and you have to put back the prismatic recaster. I appreciate focused loot returning, but turning in engrams is about as appealing as giving all my coins to Shaxx. Where is the Braytech Menagerie? Where is the ice flavored escalation protocol? What is all the money and man power allocated to?
