It’s weird that gunsmiths and weapons manufacturers figured out how to create 1250 Cuboid ARUs, but my Breakneck and Hammerhead can’t break 1050. Like I said... weird.

See this is what bothers me the most about Sunsetting. It isn’t logical within the world of destiny. If Cayde’s Ace was a legendary, you are telling me he would have set it down? Because reasons? Nope. That’s false. Gear in destiny literally defines your guardian. Gear in destiny often has its own lore and ,in some cases, it’s own personality. Sunsetting is world breaking for destiny. It doesn’t work. Not in its current form anyways.

This is honestly most evident with the Drifter and his iconic weapon, Trust. If you recall, in the trailers and even in the first couple cinematics of the Beyond Light campaign, Drifter is seen fighting with Eris and Elsie with his iconic trust. Thing is though, Trust has been sunset with the release of Beyond Light. So.. you're telling me that my boy Drifter can use Trust yet I can't? Why? Because you don't want me to? Or is it because "pOwEr CreEp". Lmao, such a joke.

Absolutely correct. I also noticed Ikora, Zavala, and really EVERY NPC in the game uses the same gear (armor and weapons) all the time. It’s almost as if that was once the point of the game....🤔 That’s why Sunsetting killed destiny for me. It just feels wrong, and a whole lot less meaningful. At this point they should just sunset exotics so that everyone can stop pretending gear matters.

Sunsetting exotics would honestly get me to quit forever. Speaking as a d1 vet who played since alpha and beta

Oh for sure, the moment they do it the game dies anyways. But honestly since the rest of the gear now fades away, the magic is gone. At least for me.
