Error: servers not avaiable

i can't play destiny because when i try to log in game i only get this error message as if game servers where shut down when they clearly aren't. all of my friends can play just fine so i'm the only one getting this error, apparently it's failing since today's update got released. if anyone's getting this error please let bungie know

  • Same issue here now. Previously I was 'in game' but constantly seeing the "Attention: contacting Destiny servers" pop up and eventually being kicked, with various error codes (beaver, grape, e.t.c...) I have no idea what the problem is, but I know it only started to be an issue after the last update. Last week I was getting constant "contacting destiny servers" but I could at least still play. After this update I can't even play the game. I'm verifying the files via the Steam app now. I hope that fixes it. If it does, I'll add to this post.

    • Hi. The "servers are not available" message indicates that there is a connection issue of some kind happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an internet service provider issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs. You may also want to enable IPV6 on your router if you have it.
