They fixed it after months ( Jade Rabbit was broke as well) just before Beyond Light. However when BL arrived it broke merciless again.

It's like when they did the remove old game install new game Beyond Light coding they kept the coding from when it was broken. Just like I surmise they did with Spectral Blades way back when they "nerfed" how long it lasted then next patch it was like it lasted just as long as before the "nerf" to the time.
