If you could also link a recent DxDiag, it might help in troubleshooting.

Edited by suttungur: 1/17/2021 10:28:04 PMGlad to hear that. Hope everything keeps going great. Just in case, I do have some notes from your DxDiag: In addition to what Crisidelm mentioned, I also spotted: - Windows update 19H1 (build 18262) which is from May 2019. Suggest you update to latest. - There have been some reports, including from my friends on Steam that Nvidia's 461.09, which is what you have, is causing some issues. If you continue to have issues, after all other fixes, I recommend you uninstall that driver using DDU and install the previous driver, 460.89 (WHQL) or 460.89 (DCH). This FAQ will tell you where to check which version you have. - THXService.exe (Razer) is crashing - THXHelper051E.exe (Razer) is also crashing If your game is running great right now, don't worry about the above (if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it). Just some notes to take a look at if anything is not working properly.

https://pastebin.com/b9pBzgV5 Ive never used this before...so I hope this works. Ill run through the other things you posted as well. Thank you so much for your help! Ive never had a problem like this before so Im a little stumped..

Your Dxdiag points at your laptop using the Intel Integrated Graphics rather than its Nvidia 2060 GPU
-
Can you explain to me how you know that? And what I can do to try to fix that? Sorry I wanna learn a little bit of this too.
-
Look under Display Devices in the report, the Intel(R) UHD Graphics is set to Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (144Hz) whereas your NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 has Current Mode: Unknown (which basically means it's not being used).
-
Is there a place that I can make the dedicated graphics always be the default choice? For everything?
-
Edited by Crisidelm: 1/17/2021 10:08:52 PMActually, there should be an option in the laptop Bios/UEFI to do so (and/or deactivate the integrated graphics). I think also in the driver control panel (of your Nvidia GPU) there should be an option to force the use of the RTX 2060.
-
Ok Ill jump into the BIOS for a second. Thanks again for your help in walking me through this. Forgive my naivete.
-
No problem.
-
So the only thing in the Bios was a toggleable Dynamic or Discrete graphics
-
Discrete Graphics should be the RTX 2060.
-
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I ran the diagnostic again and the 2060 is the first chip to show up and the current shows the correct information. Thank you so much! Destiny is finally working and I can play the damn game. This is the first good experience I ever had with a forum. I really appreciate your help!

You're welcome.
