This right here, the amount of shotgun rushers I’ve stopped with an SMG or sidearm is nuts

People will just get harder to kill. Shotgunners be the easiest players to mow down. I would know, I'm usually experiencing both sides

If you get aped it’s your fault almost every time, shotguns are only OP against someone with zero map awareness

I play 6v6. Map awareness goes right put the window when there's that much going on. Eventually u just learn how to react to playstyles

You're not wrong. In fact I was using sidearms yesterday and shutting down a lot of guys with shotguns chasing after me. But it still doesn'toverlook the fact that shotguns are the most used weapons in crucible which is a problem. So much so that people use them as their primary weapon. That's not what the shotgun was intended to be used for. Shotguns are intended to be used as your oh crap I need to get out of this situation fast. Not okay new game let's pull the shotgun out and hold w down and see how many kills I can get. I'm not hating on the shotgun itself in general. I'm just pointing out the fact that there's a problem with how much it's being used because of how unbalanced the sandbox is. bungie says they created stasis to help counteract shotgun players and cheaters. All it did was cause people to use shotguns all the more so. with all the people I've talked to so far and they all agree that shotguns are used more this season than any other season they've ever seen. When I check players loadouts and look at how many kills they've gotten with their shotgun, 99% of the time they have far more kills with their shotgun than any other weapon that they are using including their snipers. Tell me I'm wrong.

Why is it a problem that shotgun is most used gun? Something has to be most used. I personally enjoy going against shotgun ape’s as I melt them with fusion

No, the duality is for light level on the other two. Shotguns only seem strong because they're easy to use. If u wanna go on a big boi kill streak, glaciochasm, erentil, or any sidearm is the way to go. Those guns will put any Shotgun 6ft under.

Not a god roll but, Under Pressure and High-Impact Reserves which if I’m only getting a few rounds at a time in PvP works for my style! Kill two people with bonuses from the perks, pick up a brick, kill two people...
