Before Beyond Light, I would get flawless performance graphics and fps wise, where the only thing that (occasionally) affected me was just network performance.
After Beyond Light, I would start to get micro stutters in missions and various places within free roam. Even occasionally upon loading into an area, get fps as low as 16FPS for no known reason.
After the 01/05/2021 weekly reset, it's gotten completely worse. Every activity/area I load into has a large lag spike before I actually visibly loaded into an area, and some areas even having stuttering for a minute or two after loading in, as well as that when I encounter the first room of mission only enemies for the Coup De Grace mission, I would get some huge stutters that dropped down to about 20fps at times.
When the 01/12/2021 weekly reset hit, I am now seeing that when I try to load into the Dreaming City's free roam area, eight out of the nine times I have tried, I have crashed upon a black screen and the transmat sounds. In addition, I've had a few moments where things were quite lagging performance wise, especially with the only time I managed to load into the Dreaming City, where I dropped down to 16FPS soon after loading in for a second or two. And all of this has happened both with and without overclock enabled on my GPU (an overclock that is quite stable for this laptop). Also, there has most likely been some issues happening with the servers because of one Strike I loaded into, when I first tried loading in, I crashed upon loading, so I relaunched the game, managed to rejoin the same activity, and upon successfully loading in, everything was frozen besides me being able to move about. Both teammates were frozen (even saying that they left the activity, but their names and slight parts of their characters remained) and the Scorn tank and all the scorn were frozen (the scorn being able to die by melee or weapons (without any drops) and the scorn tank wouldn't take any damage).
Edit: I turned off NVIDIA Control Center's Shader Cache option for only D2 and I have seen a performance boost, however I understand that having Shader Cache is supposed to improve performance, not worsen it as it doesn't have to grab new shaders each time the game runs.
