I have much lower performance since Beyond Light launched (if this is because of the new lighting system, then it is not worth it). Before BL, I was able to play in 1800p60 on an RTX 2070 SUPER. When BL came out, I had to go down to 1440p60. Now I upgraded to an RTX 3080 and I cannot keep constant 60 FPS in native 4K, I get occasional drops. I had to lower the internal resolution to 90% (I would probably get 125% before the expansion). I am also getting regular micro-stutters while simply traversing the world. I did not have that before. Lower performance would not be that big of a problem if the game made use of Temporal Anti-Aliasing (standard in almost every game now). Aliasing in this game is absolutely terrible, just disgusting. In other games, 1080p with TAA looks better than 4K with SMAA/FXAA. You have to implement this. DLSS 2.0 would be very useful as well.

 • If this may help, there is a temporary solution that may help you. I've tried this myself with my 2060, but I cannot confirm if it'll help you or not, but it wouldn't hurt to try. If you go into your NVIDIA Control Panel, go to where you can select 3D settings for specific games/programs, have it selected to Destiny 2, and then turn Shader Cache off for just Destiny 2. This is a temporary workaround, but it worked for me and I'm getting the performance I used to get before BL, and I think it was that something happened in the game code that caused Shader Cache to only hinder performance for that game instead of improve it.

 • Im glad Im not the only who thinks the anti-aliasing is horrible in this game. Its so bad. only way to fix it some what is to turn up render resolution or just run at higher resolution. If I remembered correctly there was smaa in the beta but it didnt work. I play at 1080p and it looks like AA is not even on it so bad. Im also having the frame rate issue. went from 90-120fps in tangled shore to 40 - 70fps after BL launched. I noticed my cpu isnt boosting at all and hardly any cores are being used. In the CVARS your can turn on multi_threaded_render and it will make the cpu boost full and use all the cores and the frames go back to normal pre BL, but the you get horrible shadow flicker so its not worth changing.
