I'd be cool with more targeted sun setting like pinnacle weapons like mountaintop for example to clean the meta. But really? Why do I have to get a new rampage outlaw handcannon when I own Midnight Coupe

Targetted sunsetting or targetted nerfing/altering would have had the same effect without the many negative effects of sunsetting and without the shitstorm. And I wouldn't be surprised if we see exotics sunsetting in the future as we can see random rolls on exotics already and more and more and faster and faster ways to obtain exotic armor like we see this DLC.
