Title says it all, how much time goes by in game between the end of one expansion to the begining of another, from the very begining of the series?
-
I’m pretty sure each expansion marks a year passed in the timeline.
-
Expansions are launched yearly in the fall. Next big expansion will be witch queen in fall 2021 Seasons are 3 months each, starting the same time as the expansion launch. Next season will be in about 6 weeks iirc.
-
Major expansions are about a year apart but have 3 minor extras a year to make the seasons. On top of this you have events like the Dawning. In D1 the first year had 2 dlc but after that it was just expansion at the start of the year and events.
-
Destiny 2 is like 4 seasons equal a year
-
Same amount of time that's gone by in real life weirdly enough
-
Each expansion from release could generally take anywhere from 6-9 months roughly for us to reach a new one. Seasons are as recent as shadowkeep so they haven’t been around long and it took three seasons (9 months) for new light to come out so chances are we’ll be getting expansions every nine months.
-
Destiny 2 seasons are about 3 months long
-
The seasonal events happen according to real life time, so however many days it has been since Beyond light launched is the same in game and out of game I would assume.

A year probably
