I reset my valor points rank and lost progression on the same quest and it no longer counts any progression.

Hi there. As noted above, Bungie is currently investigating the issue. It seems that upon resetting your valor, it subtracts your current progress by 1,000,000. Anecdotally, I remade one of my characters and reset my valor twice and my mission progress is currently -2,000,000. Keep an eye on the Bungie Help Twitter (https://twitter.com/bungiehelp?s=21) for the most up to date info on a fix.
