The forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction.

I had a 2 weeks restriction, and managed to change connection. as @greatcyberboy advised, I checked what where my technical issues and so on. my connection was really poor, but the one I have now is really better (30 ping max, 50 down, 10 up [I don't know what jitters are but on startrinity tool I have Rx : 10ms and Tx 40ms]) it seemed quite good. I went on crucible and gambit from sunday to today on 3 chars, and all the ppl I played with told me I wasn't laggy. and just now, I got a message in game telling me I was restricted for 2 monthes. I know I won't have any answer here about the why and how, but I need to vent abt this. I feel really this restriction should not have been issued... 2 month time is nearly pushing me out of the game... if anyone can push this message to bungie's hears, it would be awesome. btw, I'm not sure I filled well my application. in the part of the application, the destiny account is the same name I have when logged on bungie here, right ?

No one here is a bot. Since creating the appeal form I linked, Bungie almost never responds to posts concerning restrictions/bans. All the information you need is within the articles in my previous reply.

Yup, it's correct but I don't see problem from my hardware/soft side :( I'm not cheater, I'm adult one, not some hot head youngster ;) I've done Contact Form but still I don't know where is my fault. Could you check my history game and logs on your servers?

I am not a Bungie employee so I'm unable to check anything for you, but they will once they look over your appeal. Remember, you're not guaranteed to get a response nor have your restriction overturned.

I know about that it's hard to get answer from Bungie Gods :) But it would be nice to know where is my problem (if there is any). I've checked my configuration many times and I don't see any issue. Hmm, other games are running ok. I really want to stay with Destiny for next years but it's disappointing that I can't go into Gambit, I'm not pvp player even :) I notice that this problems are now, with new DLC

People always get bot answer which not helpful and even mentor is not bungie employee can't help you. I got restricted today for 2 week to barely play Gambit for quest with my "bad" connection and people reported me, because I hurt them. Poor them. It is funny cheaters with "good" connection continue to play PvP and players with "bad" connection get trouble. There is no email, there is no phone number to any contact Bungie because do anything avoid it during counting people's money. I am not try to be bad guy, I love this game. I got warning for first time ever since D2 release on Dec. 1, 2020 then today I got restricted for 2 weeks. When it reach Witch Queen dlc I am done, because since Beyond Light release, everything went crap, server is sucks and other got worst even bungie keep telling you it is your connection instead bungie. People got amazing connection still get restricted. I will not spend any silver on it since got first warning, I will play then I am done when next year dlc release. I hope everyone have a great year on 2021.

I have same feeling now. I always bought "deluxe" versions of Destiny, but now I think I'll go down with next. I have feeling that Bungie is like - "pay money and shut up! You dare speak to us? - Restriction" No answers, no support. I'm afraid next seasons or DLCs it's only worse from that side. I would agree to ban/restrict my account if I would use some net limiter tricks to be "better" in pvp but I'm just casual player (with almost 3k hours of play time;) ). Bungie, do better in 2021!

So you got a warning and ignored it Did you even try looking to see if you had Internet issues in the first place. Are you playing with above the required Internet speeds (true speeds not what your ISP say you get). Did you look into your signal latency/ping and if you did what about things like NAT, data loss, jitter and WiFi. You carried on ruining matches for others so Bungie had to step in and you blame Bungie for giving you motivation to sort things out. Most people who kick off on these forums never even looked to see if the issue is on their end. A lot of them don't know anything about their Internet other than their speed which they pay for. Some even try playing with bellow the games requirements. More don't even know how or do a required regular reset of their router and them system cache clearance which everyone from game companies, system providers and ISPs recommend. So before saying anything look on your end and I mean look before you blame others.

Edited by Crisidelm: 12/29/2020 9:48:22 AMRestrictions usually boil down to two possible reasons; 1) (the most usual explanation) your connection is/has been clearly subpar (no, not just for one day or in one occasion, it must have been a consistent problem for at least few days. You may have not noticed it too, but all the other players you were matched with did, and they reported you for it so Bungie looked into it and found good reason to restrict you). 2) you are strongly suspected to have played in a fireteam with cheaters/hackers or have lagswitched yourself. Not long enough or not clearly enough to warrant a full ban, but it's the way that Bungie is telling you to be careful who you're playing with or what you're trying to do.

Hmmm, could it be that someone reported me on bad will? We had a clan, people started to be toxic and we dissemble a clan. Then restrictions started, could it be a reason?

Nope. Bungie knows people report others just for losing a match or even having a certain load out. That is why reports just flag accounts for investigation by Bungie staff.

I'm from Finland and my connection to Helsinki is like that (measurements are by my net provider - Telia): [now running at home network: Destiny 2, Twitch, Spotify, YouTube and Xbox) connection - wired latency - 11 ms jitter - 7 ms upload - ~79 Mbps download - ~4 Mbps Is it good?
