My scans show that the all the higher ups have it, the lower ranks have the potentialto wield it, darkness fills them just as the light us, just on a civilization scale..." -ghost, after having scanned several groups of dragonoids The Dragonoids, Known in their own language as Drakeborn, are a ancient spacefaring race of bipdeal humanoids with a varying set, draconic like apperance. Known far and wide by other races that originate from outside the sol system, such as the cabal and hive, for their vast empire and skill in battle. They are one of the first races to have been visited by the pyramids and allowed to take darkness for themselves and are very adept at wielding the powers that it grants. While not as ancient as the vex, they did originate a little after the universe was created. They arrived in the sol system after detecting the shockwave of energy from the taveler and following the pyramids. This is shown by how they don't name their offspring at birth, but leave them nameless until either they acheive a great enough of a feat, showing them worthy of their name and title, or until they have matured, in which their parents will name them, themselves and will be disgraced until they do acomplish a feat. The Dragonoids live to earn their names, expand their empie, and convert other races to the side of darkness. They are antagonistic toward the Cabal and Hive, although are seemingly friendly with the vex, the reason for this is unkown however. They appear to be immune to being taken unlike other races, although individuals that posses the light are susecible to having their light taken, vreating a ghastly taken shade of the individual, but other then that, they given the no reason to openly attack taken, although they will defend themselves when attacked. While some houses are at war with them, they are not open enemies with the fallen.They lack any type of established stronghold such as the Citadel or the Hellmouth, instead preferring to reside with other alien races places of hiding or kick out the former occupants until they decide to move on. Like many of the other races they have forms of worship in their culture. They worship the pyraminds just as we worship the traveler, that and they have their own forms of gods that they worship. They are a bipedal, hulking in the case of the males, species that appear to be carnivorous (voracious in some cases), as evidenced by their sharp, pointed teeth. The females have a sleek, aerodynamic build to them while males have a strong, hulking, heavy-set build to them. Dragonoids have two arms with five digits, large cat like oval eyes with slited pupils, long flexible reptile tails, and can breath without the need of external sources. They somewhat resemble an humanoid axolotl or gecko in general apperance, having two mobile, ear-like appendages on the side of their heads, the second, smaller of the two being where the human ear would be, with the larger one being located slightly above it. In addition to this, small tendril-like appendages appear as they age, which located beneath the larger ones. Due to mutation, some individuals have horns replacing these appendages. They come in a range of colors with sleek scales with faint lighter patterns similar to that of a manta ray, these patterns are bioluminesent.Their blooe color matches their scale color, just darker in doloring.They are capable of natural regeneration on a great scale, being able to regrow entire appendages or heal from otherwise fatal wounds in minutes to hours. They come from a warm, oceanic climate, so they have to be constantly warmed within colder climates. Therefore, while a resilient species, Dragonoids cannot survive in Europa's blizzard of a environment without climate-controlled suits. Dragonoids have one of the longest lifespans, in a few cases having lived close to a million years without any apparent infirmity. They also operate similar to snakes when it comes to growth, as they continue growing until they die, and due to their large life spans, they can get quite large towering over younger ones. Diamonds however seem to have the unqiue ability to not only control their growth but even reverse the process in some way. The Dragonoid species has male and female sexes, and presumably reproduces sexually. Although dued to a mutation that occurred some time ago and has since been breeded into the population, a portion of the female population actually are hermaphrodites, possessing both sexes making them capable of either self-fertilization or mating with the other two sexes. The reason behind this mutation is unknown, but it is theroized that with the declining male population, the species deemed it nescary to become self efficent if males were to go extinct, and so developed this mutation. They lay eggs but have two ways of birthing young, which can be decided on by the mother early in the pregancy, they can either 1. Giving live birth to a single offspring, which works similarly to how snakes do it or 2. Lay mutiple eggs resulting in more offspring. Language: Numeracy: Culture: Pantheon: Research and Development: Clans and Hierarchy: Clans: Named Individuals and Mini-bosses: Client Species: In addition to the Dragonoids themselves, the Dragonoid Empire, like the cabal, includes numerous other species whose civilizations were incorporated into the Empire as clients, either willingly or by force. Drakenauts - a large draconic creature that lived on the dragonoid homeworld of Revenant that was tamed and used as beasts of war. They are outfitted with void cannons and can breath solar energy as a ranged attack, while they shred anything that comes near with their sharp teeth, claws, and numberous body spikes. Pups are also used as gtound troops in the same manner as the cabal's war beasts, as either shock troops, a distraction or as cannon fodder to protect their other forces. Command Structure: Bloodestones—elite heavy infantry units that lead the battle with their own ferocious size and strength, but also act as elite guards and possible mates for higher level, aristocratic dragonoids. Their skill and strengh is only rivaled by that of their superiors. Onyxes- Elite ranged infantry that use stasis abilities to get the upper advantage in a fight. They are made up only of the black variant of the species. Agates—Commanders and mutil-range specialists, these units can be seen up front n in the fight with their troops or hanging back providing support fire. Killing this unit before the others can cause a beserk state within any type of unit. Garnets—High ranking Rubies that use ranged solar attacks, but can be supressed with a any type of damage to the forehead right before they attack. Made up mostly of female units. Jaspers—Higher ranking Amethysts or Rubies that have proven themselves in battle. Equiped with arc clevers, and the ability to enter a beserk state when damaged enough, which invreases their damage, and causes rapid regeneration. They are mostly made up of the blue variant of the species. Zircons—Amethysts that are equiped with shield technology and are able to create walls of energy similar to titan barracades to helo hold positions ahd close off areas to their opponents. Amethysts— frontline heavy infantry that form the backbone of the Dragonoid military and the prime examples of the male side of the species. Mostly made up of the purple variant of the species. Rubies—Pearls equipped with solar spears, which they use to charge down targets, or throw with deadly accuracy at longer rangers. Made entirely of female units and usually of the red variant of the species.. Pearls—the lowest rank but commonly encountered of Dragonoids who seek to prove their worth and earn their name. They can move around quicker than other Dragonoid units. They are of averge height (6 to 7 feet) and repersent the youngest form of the species. The majority of this rank are females, although male forms of the rank exist.: Drakenauts—Large beasts outfitted with void cannons, and act as assault tanks or mobile siege engines, providing heavy fire from afar.
