Same here, I opened 2 today and got no rewards. But when I reload and visit again the symbol still appears on the map but the gold chest is gone. I haven't bought the dlc if that is the reason perhaps?

I have an account with the dlc and one without. The chests gave rewards and registered on the one with the dlc, but did not on the free account without it.
