Will the fix you're planning for January address the stuttering (or "microstutter" as I've heard it called)? My FPS seems decent (although it does fluctuate wildly depending on where I am and what's going on, typically between 110-160 FPS). But, I do get that frequent stuttering or "skipping", and it's really distracting. Pretty sure the game did not have that issue before Beyond Light, though I did make some hardware upgrades around the same time it released. i9 10850k, RTX 3080, 32 GB DDR4, 165 Hz G-Sync monitor...

  • I was having the micro stutter issue myself. But, for me, it was happening in every game. I ended up doing a fresh install of the Nvidia driver, which solved the issue. I would advise not updating your GPU driver until you are sure that it works and is stable

  • Tbh I think your frame rate should be a loy better unless your playing at 4k. So you could potentially be having lower frame rates but don't notice it as much because your rig is very powerful. Just a thought.

Good point, very possible. I'm only playing at 1440p. I'm coming from a 2x GTX 1070 SLI rig and got slightly lower frames (but not much, since Destiny 2 is one of the big games still supporting SLI), but it was a smoother experience before Beyond Light nonetheless due to the stuttering BL seems to have introduced... :-/ Also guess I should note that I'm getting intermittent crashes that freeze up my entire PC and require me to reboot. Often it's when I try to alt+tab to Chrome or something...

  • I'm using a ryzen 7 1800x and gtx1080ti with 33gb of ram and I was barely hitting 100fps on a 34" ulttawide 1440p prior to the drop...after the drop im lucky to get a max of 40fps anywhere other than orbit. Have tried every single fix possible with no luck so now I just gotta wait it out. Im happy people like yourself are still able to play but there's a lot like myself where the game is just now unplayable and we're missing out on some limited items and events. Hope a fix comes out soon so you can experience crazy fps and I can get back to normal fps lol. Happy Hunting!!!
