By grinding strikes one hour a day for about a week, after all my upgrade module purchase (probably 6) and all the ones from handing in tokens and dismantling the gear, I got around 70+ enhancement cores, that’s a much greater amount then from 1220 nightfalls.

Oh absolutely. Only thing Nightfalls are good for is if you want or need enhancement prisms and ascendant shards readily accessible, but haven't needed any of those. I definitely keep as good a stock of power cores and legendary shards as I can though. Hell, after Beyond Light dropped, I had about 1,500 legendary shards and a hundred some power cores. Just to get to 1250, I had to use all those shards, plus more. Well, used a good amount for shaders too, in fairness, I change the look to the mood, jump around a bit there. I used about 40 power cores, and then zero prisms or ascendant shards.
