As a warlock main, half of my supers are unusable. And only two of my subclasses are end-game viable.
WTF are we fighting to protect? Supers that no one uses? WHY??

Saying smith is wrong or a idea he has is a bad idea is different form panicing if you tell people about your ideas Willingll your going to have people giveing opinions and not all of it will be saying your right and you should make your idea happen Luke simth respect you if you say he is right and tell him every thing he is doing is good for the game and just suatup and take what he wants give you but if people who tell him its not a good idea he has had or who do not think he is doing a good job or who r not haveing on the game or who think he is not listening to the community get no respect now change can be good but not all change is good and its not allways the right time for change and so best thing is just have change if change is need and do it at the right time in the right way you will get people who you just cant make happy change or no change thets just How it is

What Smith is doing is a [i]courtesy.[/i] The notion that they owe you anymore than that is why relationships between gamers and devs are so toxic, and why most devs won’t talk to us unless they absolutely have to.

Who said that players all have the same definition of fun, or what the players are asking for are either reasonable or technologically possible? You're operating under the assumption that anything that you can imagine is doable...and that YOUR definition of fun speaks for the majority of the player base. Social media has the nasty habit of giving bullhorns to small minorities...and then amplifying their objections inside of echo chambers of those small numbers of like-minded people.

Normally I'd debate, but I can't really argue this. Warlock supers are busted. 🤣 Now I'd be ok with a rework and basically use aspects and mods to get those same effects. Nova Bomb would go back to normal. Then I can use aspects for Nova Warp or the tracking/splitting one. I need to wait and see how Stassis is handled first though. We're still early into this system.

Just let me ask you this it was not the destiny community who wood more destiny 2 the destiny community had be looking forward to destiny 3 for 3 years and tolld bungie the the dcv was to high a price to pay to keep destiny 2 going so my Question is if it was not the destiny community Who wanted more destiny 2 or the big youtbuers who was it go on Kelly who was it thet had destiny 3 s beass game turned in to beond light for destiny 2 and its dlc in to destiny 2 dlc s want me to answer my own Question?

True and it's not realistic to expect 3 versions for each new one.That would put us at 54 supers by the end of this.😳 I was talking with a friend about this though and eventually they have to rework the old classes. There is no way around it. I'd love to see them develop it into a chess match between the light and dark classes where perks directly counteract each other if used correctly.

No nova warp and nova boom r 2 parts of 1 super bungie wood say you have vod soler ark and stasis thets just 4 supers and say people do not use all the super is not so i have over 1k friends who play destiny 2 on psn and use all ther supers o and lets remember people without the new dlc cant get stasis so just have 3 supers

As we can see by what Bungie has announced about their plans about continuing the franchise through at least 2024, and expeanding both the franchise into other media and expanding the company..... ....everything that Smith did and said made perfect sense. Which is why those announcements (to me) came as a suprise, but not a shock. In the current console generation climate----where (SSD) storage space is expensive and limited....One game cant' just keep growing in an uncontrolled fashion. To the point where it takes up most of people's hard drive space. People won't tolerate it. ...and its is not a smart thing to do to maintain content that the vast majority of people dont' engage with. Or that unnecessarily overlap. The subclasses have LOST the distinctiveness that they had back in Destiny 1.

He’s signaling that what you want is probably not an option. This game still has to fit 6 more darkness supers, how many more planets, and bring the light subclasses under the Aspect/Fragmet system..... ....and still run on last Gen consoles. See what Cyberpunk is going through when a game acts as if there are no technological limits.

What smith wants isn't for the game to run smoothly. If you read the interview, he said that he's removing all the subclasses that aren't "IP defining." It isn't a matter of whether the game could run, it's a popularity contest. He wants to remove something from each and every subclass. So on solar warlock, he would either remove Well of Radiance, or both Dawn Blade supers. This isn't "pruning the tree" like your only metaphor you can think of. This is "what is popular for raids and nightfalls" because that's his benchmark. So prepare for every single PvP super to be removed from the game, not because the game needs tuning, but because they aren't popular for high end PvE content.

Wow. Swing and a miss. You're looking at the small picture (what I want). He's looking at the Big Picture (how can I improve the product, still keep the game within the parameters that it will RUN on the machines that still make up the bulk of the game's market, with the resources I have at my disposal....while pissing off as few people as possible). Which is why people around here often don't get what they want as individual gamers. Because what they want at the micro level...simply isn't either reasonable or feasible once you blow it up to the macro level. I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Stadia right now...which is probably the only version of that game that runs well and relatively bug free. AND IT IS EASY TO SEE WHY THIS GAME HAS BEEN SUCH A DISASTER. The game tries to do EVERYTHING. First person shooter. Third person shooter. Open world game on the scale of a Ubisoft game. Super detailed, branch driven RPG. Super detailed immersive graphics.... There was no EDITING of what this game was trying to do....and it simply got too big and too complicated to run on last gen hardware... But CDPR had to sell it on those machines because that's where the market is. But the problem is the game can't RUN on them. Sometimes the answer has to be "NO." "You can't have that. I know you want it...but you can't HAVE it. "
