How are you going to have Nightfalls with nothing really valuable to give out of the higher difficulty?

All Nightfalls should be dropping more legendary loot, more Vanguard tokens, more materials, and even have specific loot, so what happened here?
No specific loot? Let me know how many Ascendant shards and enhancement prisms you get from the standard strikes.

  • you only get shards and prisms at higher level ordeals. the low 3 are useless compared to regular strikes

  • but no loot from NFs + shards only drop at master, and prisms only drop at legend or above. Who wants to repeatedly grind out a tedious activity for hours to get materials to upgrade loot that dosen't drop from that activity

  • Every activity has its rewards.. Your argument is like saying that I don't want to raid, so put EoT in the NF loot pool..

  • no, I'm saying not getting loot for hard activities is like being asked to grind out the worst of crucible to get good weapons for strikes. Upgrade materials can be rewarded as an added bonus, or from much harder, but much shorter activities

Oh! Also adding. I don't need the golf balls, with all the sweet weapon perks, I also really don't need to masterwork my armor, the bonuses given are negligable. Masterwork weapons are incredibly useful, but armor? Nope, pointless mechanic with all the other boosts. I can constantly toss grenades, get 2-3 supers per strike and destroy just from the weapon perks. Armor points barely make a difference in anything, not enough to warrant all the use of materials.

  • The reason you don't need those things is because you aren't doing high end content where it matters

  • That's not the case at all. Though I will say in Crucible, those stats make a noticeable difference but that's really it. Like I said, the bonuses are negligible. High end activities, low end activities, doesn't matter because you can only do things at your light level. You can't even compete against enemies 10 light levels above you because of the game mechanics. If you equip pinnacle armor it already has high stats right? So what I mean is, upgrading from those stats that already give a player a solid boost, at least what? 50 in each category roughly? So its negligible to masterwork, so the materials aren't needed. Enemies mob you so much, and things happen so fast, the extra points in perks just can't keep up, plus my weapon perks and exotics crank the recharges of everything so I just don't need any masterworked armor at all. More often than not I've got a bunch of empty slots in the one set of armor I masterworked, if I choose not to utilize Warmind cells, because very few perks are things I see as useful for me, and most are universal to all elements, so then I just equip the right elemental pieces, always solar or arc, and I rarely need to switch anything.

  • You're severely gimping yourself (and overall limiting the quality of your gameplay experience) by not utilizing mods and builds

Also my play experience has been more rewarding this way for me, 2-3 supers per strike? Hell yeah, I only use them when I need to. Constant grenades? Hell yeah. Don't need rift much so I don't equip for it. I've always got wellspring, demolitionist, thresh, or vorpal weapon equipped, event depending. I don't use snipers or shotguns, I think they both suck, so no perks needed for those because a bow is primary drops, which are very frequent, and can pick enemies off from sniper distance. Scout rifles? Well, no need when pulse rifles exist the way its set up, they're more effective. Don't need any ammo perks for anything but the grenade launchers and fusion rifles I love, so more useless perks for me beyond those. As you can see the list is getting alot smaller😂. Ghost perks now award prisms, modules, cores, and all that from bosses and yellow bars. They give extra glimmer and increased loot and experience, so I do masterwork those.

  • You're aware there's a fragment that gives you back half of your grenade and can recharge extremely fast with high discipline?

  • Yep. I main Warlock, barely touch the other 2 classes. I have all the stasis mods thus far, and stasis actually charges everything slower than the the light subclasses, and while it is solid, and demolitionist is a GREAT added bonus to that one, I'm about damage. Stasis is more crowd control. I focus on targets descending from biggest threat to smallest, therefor more often than not I require Voidwalker or Stormcaller. Its about adapting to your play style I am precise, I am focused, so I need to focus on what allows more damage to a single target and I use my abilities, and make my decisions tactically, and in my years of Destiny I have found the very small group of abilities, classes, and weapons most suited to that purpose. Experimentation is more for those that don't really know what they want, or what they're doing, beyond that its specialization

Clearly you didn't actually read this as I specifically was talking about adding perks, but only few are useful for me. Only putting 5 or 6 slots in my armor is generally enough for everything I use, which only requires legendary shards, and one power core

  • Well, if you have the ghost perk equipped you'll get a good number, soooo there's that for you. Been pretty sweet getting them from powerful engrams and vendors now too, power cores that is. So that means if its been stepped up everywhere else, then it also should be in the higher difficulty Nightfalls, but its the one place that just is, whatever that is now😂 no need for me to do Nightfalls anymore if I'm getting better rewards from every aspect of regular strikes

  • You haven’t even done the master, it rewards a okay amount of prisms and has a rare chance for ascendant shards

  • Yeah, I know. They're things I don't need though. Masterworked armor isn't worth it with all the weapon perks. I've masterworked one set to try it, one of my favorite armor sets and I was not impressed at all. Usually 5 slots does the trick, no need to go further most of the time
