I think the use of adaptive trigger would be a disadvantage in pvp as you can push the trigger faster when you're using the DualShock 4. It would be a nice addition in pve but it should be possible to turn it off when in pvp.

All games that have the adaptive trigger feature have the ability to turn it off. I also think with practice it could be an advantage since it allows you to be more precise with your trigger pulls with practice. Regardless a pvp, pve option, intensity option and the ability to turn it off would cater to all users.
