Mara has been confirmed to be the rival to Savathûn
Source.
Eris the equivalent of Oryx.
Wishful thinking. Source.
Osiris was mostly against the Vex and Darkness
I don't know where your thoughts drifted to, but where the vex are involved? ALLLLLLL factions are involved. Especially the infinite forest. The real contender to Xivu has been and continues to be: a) a member of the light b) Capable of waging war c) A strategist like Xivu I can currently name fifteen lore people to fit the anti-Xivu parallel fighter. Osiris is the current Oryx as the navigator of realms. Period. Savathun is definitely Mara or six other light-bearers in the Last City. Xivu has been a topic of great interest to me and the lore points to a lot of individuals to be able to match the Hive warlord in battle and strategy. I'll welcome the day we get the chance to fight with that particular individual(s) and have them be recognized.

 • Follow the links. They go to a master list. A source is a specific point where the point is made. Referencing an entire book is not a source.

 • Wait, are the links not working properly for you? If each one isn’t taking you directly to a specific lore page then that’s a problem, though they work for me and seem to be working for everyone else. If that’s the case, I did name every single page and lore entry, though I could also go further and name the books that each page is contained in if that would help. Anyone else having trouble with the links? If they aren’t taking you to the correct lore pages then I’ll see if I can fix the problem.

 • I've had to look up your referenced pages entirely thus far. Neither one is particularly conclusive as much as I would like, but it's a start.
Source.
I have an honest question (sorry if it sounds condescending, I mean no offense): Do I need to write something in my post to make it clear to readers that the yellow words are links and clicking them will take you to the lore pages? Do I need to clarify that? Or should I emphasize that the spoiler contains all the lore and shouldn’t be skipped over? Or -and this is totally understandable- is this simply because you didn’t want to take the extra time to read all the lore I shared or only glossed through my post because the title and intro make it sound like nothing more than crackpot theory and conjecture that isn’t worth the reader’s full attention? (Edit: Anyone can give me feedback on this, by the way. If the post seemed too wild to take seriously or the stuff about links and lore references wasn’t clear, I’d loved to know what y’all think so I can improve the post)

Eris the equivalent of Oryx.
Wishful thinking. Source.
This is almost laughable at this point https://www.ishtar-collective.net/records/poison#weblore
I don't know where your thoughts drifted to, but where the vex are involved? ALLLLLLL factions are involved. Especially the infinite forest.
You seem to have misunderstood me. For all of D2 Osiris constantly told us the Vex and Pyramids are the only real threats, and multiple times he has said that the Hive (and Fallen) are insignificant enemies. I merely pointed that out because it contradicts the lore about him working to stop the Osmium siblings.

 •
Do I need to write something in my post to make it clear to readers that the yellow words are links and clicking them will take you to the lore pages
Referencing an entire book of links is not sourcing your material. Specific verse and quote.
Do I need to clarify that?
When you create a baseline and it's requested? Sure. If you can that is. If you don't recall that point or can't find it? It's just as easily said, "I don't recall where I saw that". Only children think this is an error. When do you want to memorize everything? You find there is too much to memorize.
This is almost laughable at this point https://www.ishtar-collective.net/records/poison#weblore

Oryx is dead! To deny this is to drink strong poison. Oryx is dead and His throne waits empty! To accept this is to accept blasphemy into our hearts. Our progenitor and forefather is vanquished. His court is scattered, His temples ransacked. The Knights like hot stone are dead. The beasts like scarred bone are gone from His side. And His killers have not assumed the mantle of the Taken King.
The worlds first fireteam is the killers they reference.
How can our mighty King, the spear that pierced a hundred million lying lungs, be killed by those who would deny the all-edged truth? Is this the end of progress towards the True and Final Shape? Is this the Entaoxuanna, the fate worse than extinction—the triumph of the oldest doubt, and the end of our way? Is it the incomprehensible fate which the Needle-Fingered One calls the Fraying of the Cord?
You assume that is Eris. It can literally be ANY outside of Oryx brood which they disagree with.
No. We are the people of the Real. We know the rod which separates the true from the dead. We know that whatever happens is so because it must be so. We accept that this has happened. Let me tell you what has happened: Our King of Shapes has triumphed. The one who murdered Him, who wielded His killers as a knife: she was once a liar drenched in the Sky. But she came among us, the children of Oryx, and we cleaned the lies from her, we scoured the confusion and fear from her, and we gave her the clarity of our sight: and she devoted herself to the task of comprehending Oryx, learning and foreseeing Him, thinking as He would think, knowing what He would know, becoming His one worthy enemy and so becoming like Him.
This is Eris. And they recognize her as ORYX equal. Not Savathun.
How could she do anything but challenge Him? And how, in challenging Him, in seeking a way between His pits and riddles, could she walk any path but the path He made for her? The mark of Him is upon her! She will always fear Him, she will feel the wound of Him in her mind as we feel His absence, she will seek out all that He valued, she will find all that He would want found—and lo! What has she found? What has she found? The liars will come in their thousands and hundreds of thousands and slaughter us in our millions and tens of millions, and we will go rejoicing to our ends, for they are the blade He has appointed to whittle us into our shape, and she is the avatar He has chosen to mantle Him, and even now we sail the course He plotted! For she has awakened the truth which answers the lies. And His will has delivered the liars to us as His final test. And He is still and now and forever our King. We will ask Him to return to us. And when we have pleased Him, He will answer!
They are not convinced of Oryx final death. They are waiting for his return. This points out that Oryx, the Navigator, has a secret no one else has: A way back.
For all of D2 Osiris constantly told us the Vex and Pyramids are the only real threats
I tend to disagree a lot with what the warlock thinks. It's easy to predict the children not being the adult in the room (children being cabal, hive, fallen, and now guardians who follow the dark stasis lure) and the darkness is the adult in the room, but there is simply far too much at play to truly disregard the contingencies they all have. One way or another, this para casual battling is coming to a head. That's the only thing for certain.
Referencing an entire book of links is not sourcing your material. Specific verse and quote.
Every single link I shared leads to a specific page and I even named every single entry, none lead to books. In my post I clearly summarized the relevant points of every page, but I didn’t fill my post with quotes because that would be messy and take up space, summarizing is efficient, and I much prefer to encourage readers to read the lore themselves so they can know the context of the entire page.
The worlds first fireteam is the killers they reference.
It’s vague enough that they could be referring to the fireteam, or the fireteam and Eris, or us and Eris. I honestly don’t know which it could be, and it could certainly be the fireteam as you said, but since it’s not relevant to my post I’m gonna put it aside.
It can literally be ANY outside of Oryx brood which they disagree with.

I never said anything about this. You assumed I believe it‘s Eris, but I believe it has nothing to do with Eris. Most likely the Needle-Fingered one is Savathûn, but this is totally irrelevant to my post and this discussion so let’s leave it be.
No. We are the people of the Real. We know the rod which separates the true from the dead. We know that whatever happens is so because it must be so. We accept that this has happened. And they recognize her as ORYX equal. Not Savathun.

I said Eris was Oryx’s equal many times. You even called me out for it on your previous comment, having not seen my previous reference to this very same lore entry. I can’t blame you for forgetting, it’s been a couple days, but you could have reread some things to refresh your memory.
They are not convinced of Oryx final death. They are waiting for his return. This points out that Oryx, the Navigator, has a secret no one else has: A way back.
Yeah, they believe he does. I myself hope he does. Good analysis. This has nothing to do with my post, though.

 •
It’s vague enough that they could be referring to the fireteam, or the fireteam and Eris, or us and Eris.
They would name specific guardians. It's the worlds first team.
I never said anything about this.
If you make one statement above about Savathun and then try and deflect this one then we are at an end of the conversation. Read your original post and follow it through. The lore cited does not support your theory.

 • Kiddo. If you want to have a conversation rather than beat around the bush? Make your point. Asking a general question about lore just to get told to read the lore is troll-like behavior and one I've seen many times over the years.
