Howdy!
This sounds like a connection issue of some kind is occurring, and could be an internet service provider issue.
Below are suggestions that may help with your issue:
1. Use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi
2. Quit any program or turn off other devices that are streaming
3. Clear your console cache or, if on PC, verify the integrity of your game files.
4. Power cycle your internet router
5. Improve your latency and packet loss
6. Follow the Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try the Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP or changing your NAT type.
7. Enable IPV6 on your router to see if that helps
Edited by Joe Qel Droma: 12/10/2020 6:00:07 AMI have tried some of these out with no success. I will try calling my service provider about them, but I did not have these problems prior to the beyond light update. If these issues persist, is there anything that can be done? I do not want to be banned for somthing I can't control. There is only 1 option for Internet where I live so switching is not an option unfortunately..

you can perform internet performance tests on your own. speed, latency (to seatle, wa) and packet loss tests can all help point you in the right direction.

Gotcha. Anything I need to look for specifically? Im not well versed in network things.

Speeds, obviously higher is better, but for a min I would shoot for at least 5M up and down if you have multiple devices as D2 can use upto 1M up/down by itself. Packet loss 0 is ideal, the lower the better as loss in packets translates to loss of instructions/movements for your character and others, latency, again lower is better sub 20s is ideal.

I do live in Europe for work, will that affect anything?
