The endgame content problem

I believe that there is very little to offer currently when it comes to endgame content. Most of it consists of literally waiting for prolonged periods of time for raid content to release, grind a few runs of it, then let it go to the side as most people would have everything by 20-30 runs. Then there is Nightfalls. This content has literally become Exotic farming simulator with the only incentive being to hope for the best roll exotic. There are no more exclusive legendary armor or weapons found in strikes to go for so nightfalls have become a chore to get pinnacles and the conqueror title. Trials is getting better with the addition of new adept mods but we need a vendor refresh sooner than later. Finally iron banner, this has become a shell of its former self with the special control gamemode basically making it a mercy rule agony fest alongside the lack of clash to switch in and out to make it feel more unique every time it comes up. Seasonal activities are just not cutting it for me remotely in the endgame. Sure the weapons a good but the activities themselves are literally just public events or hilariously easy missions like the wrathborn hunts. This game is lacking something important which I think has been absent for a long time as we seem to have things that the community enjoys stripped away and non issues that are changed for no reason. Some of these would be: diversity in the crucible like fun gamemodes like rift and skirmish, the option to pick armor and weapons separately on rank up packages, cool and unique strike specific armor and weapons that relate to the bosses, a horde mode where we fight waves of ads in an arena for cool loot with various difficulties, factions (not the rallies), hard mode raids to reward players further for achieving a more difficult version of the current raid. Things like that go so far in the grand scheme as it gives players much more to do for end game when content is dry. Right now there is no reason to play strikes, gambit is an unbalanced mess and crucible has been stripped of its fun gamemodes and variety along with its maps. It’s one thing to sustain the game with seasonal content but it’s another to enhance the core aspects of destiny 2. We need a reason to do a lot of things, currently those reasons have fizzled out.
