So many people in here not knowing how to use a dictionary.
Edit: Becausr to lump all Americans in the same boat as Gemini, Qanaon and Flat Earthers is wrong.

Edited by Olórin: 12/3/2020 2:04:37 PMI knew what it meant i just like to have a joke most of the times. The people genuinely curious could've saved their time typing a comment on here and instead type a question into google. Still doesn't mean we should generalise everyone's intelligence to one country, I'm not even a fan of America either but still wouldn't accumulate every dumb comment to be from there.
-
But that's work, being offended is much easier apparently.

Edited by Olórin: 12/3/2020 2:02:59 PM
But that's work, being offended is much easier apparently.
Who would be offended by a word?
Oh my, that sounds naive.
Its your opinion at the end of the day but still i wouldn't really generalise the lack of intelligence down to solely Americans.
-
Hence the change of my post. It is a acknowledgement that all people have a capcity to be stupid. What annoyed me was the chap who firstly said ot was offensive because it looks like an American derogatory term for a black American. When I pointed out the actual meaning they then back peddled and threw up strawmen finally to go "ah ha you are just racist all along". Apparently pointing out their reason for being offended was pointless is racism. Though I am convinced ot is merely a troll of a low calibre.

While you're correct all people can be stupid, as an american, I'm starting to think all the stupid is being condensed here

And anyone who doesnt understand that words are different despite sounding similar are complete morons, regardless as to where they're from. I wouldnt even waste my time trying to educate stupid people on it. They wont learn especially over the internet.
-
Oh geeze thanks for makibg me realise I dodged a bullet not talking about homophones.. You can clearly see where that would have gone...
-
Yeah exactly but anyone being serious about it isn't worth providing your time to educating, just how some people are. If they're being sarcastic then its a little more redeeming knowing they're trying to take the p**s rather than be genuinely offended over something that isnt even offensive.

Edited by Cpt_Ambel: 12/3/2020 2:53:12 PMAnd taking the piss is exactly that. I stayed here because this has been genuinely more entertining than logging in to either D2 or CoD MW this afternoon. Edit: the forums are the true end game.
Edit: the forums are the true end game.
Pretty much.

Edited by YATM: 12/3/2020 1:07:55 PMSo many condescending twats coming in here and complaining about Americans as if idiots don’t exist in droves elsewhere. Dropping archaic words does not make one intelligent.
-
Edited by Cpt_Ambel: 12/3/2020 1:03:25 PMArchaic implies no use. And only Americans seem to want the world to know ot revolves around them. The fact you wallow in and celebrate ignorance is well known. Edit: Had Americans backed up and appologised for not knowing its an actual English word which is still used elsewhere in the world we wouldn't have a problem. But no none of that just implying it has something to do with the AMERICAN n word. It's like when you all lost your shit becausr Trevor Noah described himself as coloured which along with black, white, idian and asian are on our government documents.

ar·cha·ic /ärˈkāik/ Learn to pronounce adjective very old or old-fashioned. No it doesn't, it just means old. Imagine not even knowing an English words proper definition, what a boob
-
Implies vs definition but good job. Using the word IMPLIES that it is not in use (because it is old fashioned). And pronounce what you nonse? This written the word not the spoken one, and it is spelt correctly. Also calling me a tit? Love it.
-
Lol you said tit.
-
Hehehe tit hehehe
-
Generalizations are the height of ignorance. I am the last person to blindly cheer on my country and or countrymen, but you have my hackles up. What high and mighty land do you come from?
-
South Africa but you could have gone through Genini's posts to find that. Now tell me I am racist and support Apartheid. You can put those heckles down. You seem to know how to use a dictionary. Tip of the hat for the use of -blam!-.
-
I have nothing bad to say about South Africans. As for apartheid, I am not going to cast stones while standing in a glass house. There are a lot of Americans that do not buy into American exceptionalism and loathe those who preach “America first.” Do not be so quick to assume we all fit into that mold.
-
You know what, you're right. It is easy to lump everyone into one boat. For this I appologise. I actually edited an entry in me tetate with Gemini Trashcan where. I inlcuded everyone in being stupid. I shall adjust this one too. Thank you for helping me correct myself
-
You're a humble person. Rare for these forums.
-
No need to thank. We all get cynical sometimes. Trust me, I have probably made this mistake far more than you have.
