Who else here sees a screen hitch/stutter each time the fps drops a few frames, while standing still and rotating the camera slowly? ..Example.. Screen capped to 120fps 120, 120, 120, 119 (stutter), 120 If you see stuttering similar to the example above, have you noticed that setting the framerate cap lower doesn’t really help? ..Example.. Screen now capped to 60fps 60, 59 (stutter), 60, 60, 57 (stutter) Does the framerate stop dipping and does the stuttering stop when you cap your fps at 36/30fps? ..Example.. Screen capped to 36fps 36, 36, 36, 36, 36 (no stuttering) Why ask? For me I have to lower the cap to 36fps Vsync to stop the hitching (144hz monitor). This shouldn’t be necessary with my pc specs. I clean installed windows 10 today and it’s still happening. It seems to happen more often when there are some players around. I recall thinking the issue stopped, for like 30 seconds the framerate did not dip, I then looked around and there were no player names on screen. This wasn’t an issue before beyond light, the game could drop from 120fps to 90fps and when I had Gsync turned on the transition was smooth - Gsync/freesync owners know what I’m taking about. Only now, I see a stutter/hitch when the game drops 1fps. (edit - i did have some hitching in The Tower only, that started around March, if that helps) My pc spec : Ryzen 3700x, 2080ti, 16gb ram, 144hz gsync acer xb271hu, win10 2h02 (clean install), ssd.
