So yea... I play many other games without issue and go to pick up destiny 2 after not playing for years on Console due to crappy 30 FPS.
Critical Specs
I7-9700K
32GB Memory
3TB nvme m.2 Evo Plus
RTX 3080FE
Gsync Monitor @ 1440P 144hz
Gsync and vsync on in Nvidia control panel
Latest drivers installed
I load in and get into the initial mission and I’m literally at 27 FPS..... made sure res and everything was set properly, switched on and off frame limiting, made sure vsync is off in game... same result.
I have tried lowering settings all the way to low and it yields about 6 more FPS..
Meanwhile my buddy with a similar setup is at 144fps while we were in party together.
Wtf bungie?

Edited by shaunvfx: 11/26/2020 5:05:13 PMSo -blam!-ing glad I didn’t buy the DLC before installing. I just ran a bunch of tests (former QA engineer) and let me tell you, shit is broke. I ran a number of tests adjusting different settings and I get wildly different results just by toggling settings on and off. For example, if I set the frame cap to 60, it actually will limit me to 60 and run at 60fps until any dynamic lighting effects occur, then the frames drop all the way to the low 20s and never recovers, meaning even when the lighting effects are gone the FPS continues in the low 20s. What happens when I toggle to anything above 60 frame limit? It chokes down to 27. I set to 59, game runs at 59 until the aforementioned lighting issue I mentioned above. Set to 60, runs at 60, set to 62 goes back to the 20s. Man I have worked with devs for years but honestly this is complete trash and no wonder destiny is dying. Glad I didn’t give you any more of my money. Destiny has a ton of potential but y’all become complacent with this heaping pile of kludgy code.
