Sorry hope they don't... just check before delete, lock those you want to keep... rather they spend dev time elsewhere

Edited by Swiss: 11/25/2020 1:13:02 AMI sincerely hope you're not saying this suggestion isn't worth it because it will use up the developers time when the suggestion is what gives the developers something to spend time on... How about instead of "just check before delete", we be proactive and actually add a net. EDIT: I want to apologise, that was harsh of me, but I want you to understand why "it will use up the developers time" is a poor reason to shoot down a suggestion, even more so if you actually did like the suggestion but was trying to be thoughtful towards to developers. Nobody decides how the developers spend their time beside themselves or their bosses, as players, we certainly don't get a say; when it comes to suggestions, even if it will take a bite out of their time, or if it seems impossible, one should show one's approval or disapproval based on the suggestion itself, and not whether it seems possible or not. It's not fair to negatively impact something when one's reasoning as to why has nothing to do with the thing itself.

The statement about developer time was to indicate that i personally feel there is long list of items I would prioritize for work over the suggestion you wanted to implement. To be honest a "trash bin" as you call it would not even make my list. Actually as someone who works in IT the wants, needs, and experience of the end users, is usually of high importance when determining where the often limited time of resources will be spent. A lot of Guardians might not feel that it is, but its being considered somewhere. From my perspective of time prioritization: 1. Bug fixes 2 new content 3. QoL .. I would put things like better functionality in vault, shader management, accessibilty, on planet mail boxes, an armory for ammo restock, firing range, in game tool currently available in 3rd party apps for those that don't have access to apps ... And yes I've deleted items by accident or in a rush, like everyone else and learned to be more careful. I don't expect the game to be responsible for letting me undo my being inattentive. Personal responsibility isn't a bad thing for any of us to develop, especially when repercussions are only in a game. On top of this perspective the sheer number of deleted items in a day by all players would be a massive amount of data to save, and since most stuff is intentionally deleted it would be used rarely on those occassion when a gamer was not paying attention. Actually might make people even less attentive to choices make, as they can go back and undo. Which brings me back to my original thought I'd rather time and resources be used for other things than creating a safety net for when people (including me) don't pay attention and accidentally delete something wanted to keep. If I screwed up I can live with it and hope and hunt for replacement. That all said you can have your opinion about 'trash bin' and why you think its a good thing to implement, mine is it is not for a number of reasons. Cheers
