I'm having the same issue and haven't found a fix. Reinstalling didn't help at all. I've tested a bit and found that you can get an error to appear but only if running on integrated graphics. But the error only says to validate game files, which obviously I have done multiple times already to no avail. This leads me to believe that the issue is connected to loading assets or something along those lines. I Hope Bungie support responds so I can give them any more details that they need as the error doesn't pop up in the DirectX diagnostic data that they usually ask for.
