Using cheats isn’t the only reason to get banned. Simply having the wrong type program open/running (even if not for D2) can lead to a ban. Might help us help you if you list all programs that were running/in use within about an hour of your ban. Plus, you need to give Bungie time to review your appeal. It appears you just recently got banned, so if you’ve submitted multiple appeals already then Bungie will not be too favorable of that.

At the time, I was literally only running Edge, Discord, Spotify, Steam itself with Wallpaper Engine running from Steam as well, and Razer Synapse (don't judge me for that, my husband likes Razer mice). That's it, literally nothing else was running throughout the whole week that I played since coming back.
-
Of those, the only thing that could cause your ban is Razer....especially if there were AHK/macros being used/running.
-
My husband literally only uses Synapse for the lighting for his mice and a dock for one of them, so AHKs or macros are out of the question.

Well something that was running (even in background and/or not necessarily for D2) caused the anti-cheat to trigger & for Bungie to verify it and ban you. Now you just need to be patient & let Bungie re-review your case. If they don’t respond/unban you after a week of appeal, then consider the appeal denied & ban upheld.

It's just so ridiculous to me that people can be banned for having some stray program that they might not even know about running that the game just happens to set off as a flag. I get that this game has or had a cheating problem, but that seems incredibly overkill! Stuff like this makes it hard to recommend Destiny 2 to any friends of mine who might be interested in starting or returning to the game.

Pc players need to know exactly what is running on their machine (and this isn’t just for this game). Most of the time, it’s not just some “stray program” running that causes the ban, but rather a program specific to illicit activities and/or ones Bungie has specifically said not to be running.
-
ok, what are those programs exactly then? where is the list from bungie pls link it
