Troubling connecting to servers, black screen and crashing. Need Help!

Ever since I redownloaded Destiny 2, around November 8th I believe, I've had consistent issues. On the day I redownloaded it I was suffering constant network problems, and would either crash or disconnect from the fireteam while trying to join my friends. However, if they joined me we were basically able to play without issue. The next day I was completely unable to play, I would get in and my game would freeze just trying to load my characters on the select screen a problem I'd never suffered with until now. I would get into the world select screen without issue, I would attempt to go to the tower or titan among other places and I would most of the time get the animation of my ship flying to whatever location I'd chosen, then my screen would just go black. There were still usually the sounds of the location I'd flown too, such as on titan I could still hear the ambient noises but if I tried to press any buttons my game would crash soon after. I have since tried: Just starting the game a few times again, rolling back drivers, reinstalling drivers, different fixes I found online, uninstalling and reinstalling, optimizing my game (For some reason NVidia says I don't have the minimum requires for the game to be optimal, which leads me to believe I somehow may not have the optimal settings, I'll list those at the end.), basically removing the entire game from my system and then reinstalling it, deleting a character. Deleting one of my characters has since given me the most leeway as I was able to play through the start of the new new light campaign, until you meet Shaw Han, however my game was running at basically unplayable framerates for around 70-80% of the mission and would suffer constant freezing. While loading in I also suffered error codes Bee and Beaver. Once I finished the cut scene after you talk to Shaw Han for the first time, my screen went black and crashed soon after, I booted up the game again and then tried to fly to the cosmodrome only to suffer the same issue I've been suffering: Fly to destination, black screen with ambient sounds, game crashes; I even tried to play today, I closed basically all background processes besides steam and stuff that is always on in the background, I was suffering a "Connecting to Destiny 2 servers" error message for my game to then crash a minute or so later. I have been able to play Destiny on my pc consistently and well for almost the past year now. Since the game went F2P. I would suffer some minorly semi consistent connection issues, but I'd presume everyone does at some point as wifi isn't perfect, nothing I'd call out of the ordinary. I have uninstalled the game a few times, then redownloaded it a few months later (Usually with the new season), then uninstalled it after I dropped off playing. I'd really like some help with this, particularly the crashing because I can deal with connection issues. I don't want to get up on the soapbox, but I've put a bit of money (Shadowkeep, Forsaken, silver) as well as 400 hours into the game and don't want that to go to waste alongside the fact that I'd like to be able to play with my friends as this is basically our game (Due to the fact that everyone can play it, and it's the one game we can all play together). So thank you for reading this whoever you may be, and thank you anyone who assists me. TLDR: My game goes to black screen when going to a location, and It crashes. Never had this issue until recently. PC Specs: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz RAM: 8.00 GB VRAM: 4.00 GB System type: 64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor Graphics card: NVida GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Free space: 129 GB DirectX Version: DirectX 12

  • Hi. Thanks for your report. This sounds like a connection issue of some kind is occurring, and could be an internet service provider issue.
