Are you joking with these ridiculous "suggestions"? The ONLY THING that changed was YOUR GAME, why would MY SETTINGS be the problem. The game was running perfectly fine, you updated it, now it doesn't run fine anymore, how is that in any way related to MY SETTINGS??
The lighting changes in the locations is almost certainly the cause of the frame loss here. Instead of posting nonsense, get your developers to triage it properly and optimize the graphical changes that were made for Beyond Light. Outsource it if you have to.

You understand what their trying to do? If turning down something on YOUR settings helps with FPS, they can look into that feature in the game and find any issues that would cause low fps. It's the same everywhere, people using various GFX cards with various drivers and various overlays. All of this can cause unintended effects with certain gameplay systems. Make sure you do what they've asked too - Supply your specs and dxDiag so they can work out if it's a specific driver or something else.

This is as close to a universal issue as possible. They changed the lighting system in BL and suddenly frame rates are down. Huh? i wonder what the cause could be?

You have no real experience with doing this. They have asked for you to do certain steps to isolate certain issues. Yourself and myself have our own opinions on if it will work, or is right. Provide your specs to them like everyone else if you have major issues. Then hopefully something will get done. Just being "that guy" that moans like a child doesn't help the issue.
