I look at the sign with curiosity, then I decide to start heading for the spell testing labs.

-
After descending a few flights of stairs and following several signs, you arrive at the active labs. Fortunately, only one is in use, and a sign above the heavy set door to the lab reads ‘Dr Clay’.
-
I walk in, glancing around curiously.
-
You enter a massive square test room, with a high vaulted ceiling and smooth, tiled floors. The walls are thick and sturdy like the front door, but appear unblemished despite the strenuous testing. Along the sides of the room are numerous tables strewn with instruments of all shapes and sizes, each brightly lit by floating tongues of flame. In the center of the room is a large circle on the floor, suspending a massive obsidian sphere in the center. Clay stands before it, checking several notebooks, constantly glancing between it and the sphere, and doesn’t seem to have noticed your entrance. At one of the tables on the right sits a young girl, sketching and doodling in what appears to be an important tome.
-
I glance at the obsidian circle. "Interesting setup you have here."
-
Clay reads through more of his notes, and turns to nod to you for a moment. "Thank you, thank you thank you. It's been a mess getting it all ready, but thank you for coming."
-
"Of course. What are we doing here today?"
-
"Well," Clay scrolls through more of his notes, placing them on the ground in front of the sphere. "I'm testing a multi-element power generator that siphons power directly from the planes themselves. This, however, opens a portal directly to them. And that," He turns to you. "Is where you come in. I'll be busy focusing on the rituals, you're here to deal with whatever else decides to come through."
-
"That's good. I was afraid you'd want me to do something precise." I chuckle, and look at the little girl curiously.
-
"Nah, I leave the precision to myself. Once you're ready, we can begin." Clay arranges the books in front of him so he can read from four at once. The girl doesn't seem to have noticed your arrival, obliviously scribbling away.
-
"Who is the girl?" I look at her again, curious.
-
"An assistant of mine." Clay cracks his knuckles, preparing for the test.
-
"Begin when ready Doctor Clay." My eyes turn a flaming sapphire color, and runes of dark red fire explode to life on my robes.
-
"Excellent. Battre le fer pendant qu’il est chaud." Clay claps his hands together, and begins the ritual. Four portals begin to open on the sphere, one red, one blue, one brown and one grey. A loud hum begin to reverberate from the sphere.
-
I fire two large gouts of fire into the air, which form into prism that will fire bolts of flame at anything dangerous. Abyssialite flows onto my arms and other limbs to form a flexible armor while two armblades form on my arms.
-
The portals open wider, and Clay begins to levitate. Right on cue, creatures from the elemental planes arrive. A gaseous form made of fire crawls out of the red portal, followed by a larger wave of water from the blue!
-
I snap my fingers, and attempt to extinguish the flame creature as the sentinels fire at the creature.
-
The smaller fire creature manages to save itself from dying out, and tries to claw at you with its flaming appendages! The sentinels blast away at the watery wall, and it dissipates into steam.
-
I try to catch the claws on my armor and I slash at the creature with the other hand.
-
The elemental hits once, raking his fiery claw across your armor, but you manage to catch the other. You slash, and it disappears in a plume of smoke. The portals grow wider, and the humming becomes even louder. From the brown and grey portals come two even larger elementals: A humanoid, rocky figure with jutting, rocky teeth and a living tornado that begins to throw books around with its windy effects.
-
I try to grab the tornado with the Force, and throw it into it's allies.
-
The tornado proves slippy and hard to grasp, but it seems to be trying to stay unrestrained. The earth elemental charges towards you, a literal boulder on a collision course!
-
Edited by Keria: 11/18/2020 8:21:45 PMI fire a blaze of hellfire at the Earth elemental, hoping to melt it, and I try to swing the tornado at it's compatriots horizontally.
-
Your blast stops the rocky opponent, and it roars with its molten face. The air elemental manages to evade your grip once more, and the winds begin to pick up.
-
I decide I might as well start a storm of my own, and a miniature typhoon starts forming at my feet. I fire more Hellfire at the molten face of the elemental.
-
The earth elemental can't move quick enough, and he melts into a pile of molten rock. The air elemental blasts at you with a cone of cold air!
