KWTD can seem a little vague. For me at least, you kwtd once you’re at the point with the raid where you need nothing explained to you, have a good understanding of encounter flow and will very rarely make mechanical mistakes.
Some people may reach this point after a couple or runs, some may take longer. But you won’t kwtd after just watching a guide- it extends beyond knowing the mechanics.
Essentially, it boils down to can you just crack on and do it?

Yeah this is essentially my thought process as well. Watching a guide helps and playing is a different story. I can't really say for myself if I'm adaptive to new encounters cause it really boils down to what type it actually is. being swarmed is my least favourite type of encounter since (from memory) Hunter doesn't have sustainability unlike warlock or titan (again, from memory) which have extra barriers and healing. Going invisible is great but then you can't shoot anything for a moment and that can cause problems for the rest of the team. Then again I'm still not familiar to the latest exotics in Destiny 2 compared to launch so for all I know these problems can be resolved now.
