Depends. Some people want to complete a raid or dungeon quickly, and aren't in a mood to teach someone new or inexperienced. Others, are blueberries themselves, are trying to farm for experienced players so that they can get carried through the content. You can usually tell the difference by what they require of others. The first kind of players just basically ask that you know what to do, or tell you that they'll check accomplishments just to see that you have indeed completed it before. They just want to know that you know the mechanics of the fight, and you aren't going to make all your rookie mistakes on their time. The second kind are the generally the ones that demand really outrageous things. "KWTD. Anyone with less than 20+ completions will be kicked". Really? If you're still LEARNING how to do a raid after your 20th run? Well.....I won't finish that thought..... The people demanding that are usually the people who are terrible themselves, and are looking for a carry. TLDR: If someone is saying, just "KWTD"....having a couple of completions under your belt is usually good enough. If you only have watched a video, but never actually run the raid or dungeon? Stick to those teams who say they're willing to teach. Otherwise you risk, making them mad when you start to (inevitably) make mistakes. Don't put yourself in the position of being the scapegoat for a failing team. The people making the outrageous demands about how experienced you need to be on their team? Avoid them. They're basically telling you that they are either looking to be carried; an impatient @sshole who is a terrible raid leader.....or both. Don't waste your time with them. They're doing you a favor by taking themselves out of the runnign.

The other advice from the other comments and the rest of this one in particular is important as well; however there is power in your selectivity. Being open to learning and failing will mold that anxiety into motivation for weekly clears. Best of luck OP.

 • Thanks man I'll be sure to keep this in mind when I get the chance to try out some raids at some point.

 • Good point to emphasize, because people will lash out and blame others in frustration. Ran into that last night with an LFG group running Shattered Throne, trying to complete the Wishender quest (I never got around to doing it). We failed to activate the 3rd coin during the Ogre fight, which is super-kinetic and chaotic. Two of us finally wind up killing the boss, and the team leader from out the blue starts going on about "Oh I'd been saying to wipe for ages, Now we can't do it." Dude had this **super** thick accent that made him barely understandable, and when did speak it was almost never more than even less-intelligible grunts. Yet it was the rest of the team's fault when we failed, because he failed to communicate something critical. In the middle of an intense, mechanics heavy fight. Where I'm 1077 but getting two-shot by supposed 750 power Taken Hobgoblins if I'm not paying close attention. But hey, that's how people are sometimes.

 • It's kinda shitty that communication was the major factor after successfully completing 2 coins; almost like quitting a raid after several hours. And yeah, I wish Light Level mattered more when tanking damage in PVE. On the brighter side: you only have the 3rd coin to complete! I have no idea if you need to re-do the orb/statue steps again but I'd be happy to help out if you're on X1.
