To all the people answering "your own fault" or "enough time", just go away lol. Anyone remembers the season with the invitations of the Nine from Xur? They had a format working for everyone there. There was something new each week for those who play along and regularly but if you missed one, you were not screwed but were able to get them all. At some stage, even several per week so players could finish them even if they joined late to the party. That was a player friendly format. This rotation one isn't. Why not personalize them, too? Not everybody lives in Destiny on a daily base and some will always be late to the party or realize too late when a door closes.

 • You had 5 months, plenty of time to get it done, but there is a way to get the mission to pop up, all you need to do is .....
GIT GUD
• Hes had 5 month to do 3 versions of the mission. Thats not hard to keep up with at all, and is ample time. So yes, it is ops own fault.

 • Well if you took time to read what the op said you can clearly read where they said they have been playing since the season went live

 • But they obviously havnt though have they. And if this was a known bug, like all the others, we would get the Bungie stock reply of investigating, and added to the list with the rest of this seasons bugs. But the missions have rotated every week. Op clearly missed a key week.

 • What's funny is we were all warned this entire year would be FOMO heavy and it still seems there's a large enough chunk of people who didn't pay attention to that. Goes to show even when you're told straight up. You're still going to get people who "didn't have time". At least Bungie did the courtesy of issuing a warning about it. Some devs won't even give you that. Granted FOMO heavy content sucks. But we were given the advantage of knowing what's happening. So while it's on Bungie a bit, player error is also a factor.

 • Of course the player is a factor. But I do not get these "all your own fault" comments when it could also be solved by Quest Design. The FOMO concept sucks so imo it would not be too much to ask to make it as user friendly as possible if it has to exist. They showed they can, why not make it a base principle? I don't get all of this "you gotta pay attention to all news"-claim. The 10-20% of the players who post here do most of the time. I got all three apperances so this is not my problem. But instead of blaming the player, I look for a better solution to avoid frustration. And you can be sure that the vast majority of the players just fires the Game up 1-2 times per week, play for a few hours and do not read a single TWAB or Forum news. They still bought the Game and want to have fun. Missing out on stuff that is time gated is never fun. There is no way to avoid people to miss out on things with the seasonal concept but you can make Quests in a way that you can get them at least also last minute. That's all I am saying. Empathy > Rebuke.

 • What's stopping them from making it a base principle is the question you should be asking. Would the game be played over 3 months if you could do the questline of the entire season in a week?

 • I get your point but it could be avoided by opening up the requiremnts in the last 4 weeks of a season. And I seriously doubt that a reasonable number of players would wait till the end of the season to play it all at once. I just think that the season concept is bad enough already. Everything just vanishes with the end of a season. There is no need for time gated quests at the end of a season anymore as an extra hurdle. Once the storyline was completed (which can happen on a weekly basis to keep players playing), just open it for last minute players.

 • There could be limitations with spacing .I know they're wiping a lot of content but are they adding anything in the future we don't know. That's the problem with offering choice or options........you take up space. Could they do more now? Probably. Will they? Who knows. The flipside is getting the numbers of players who completed it vs the late comers who quote on quote "Didn't have time". If the completed outweighs the late then we're at a problematic impasse.
