On PC, you can create a macro (lots of software out there that's easy and free) to do this kind of boring stuff. I buy rare transmat effects whenever I'm near max glimmer, and when I get enough, I head to Amanda and let the macro that converts them run for an hour or so while I eat. Even if you play on console, enable cross-save and you can do this on a PC without paying for anything, since everything you really need to automate is either part of your inventory or dealing with Amanda.
