The best is when you play someone with SEVERE lag, to the point where there is absolutely no doubt that they’re aware of it, and they predictably say “maybe it’s your Internet.” 🤦🏼‍♂️

  • Yeah sometimes the lag just all of a sudden happens. You have a few options. Leave the match and get reported for leaving early, keep playing even though you know your internet took a poop, and lastly either keep playing or wait till it seems better. You can always play pve to test it out first anyways. I have had it happen in the middle of a match though and not much you can do. Otherwise mine doesnt appear to be lagging on my end but I do see quite a few others who are glitched out for multiple matches. I know it cant be just me because its only a few people and everyone else seems fine.

  • The kind of network issues you describe would not cause a restriction.

  • I know that. I've never been suspended because I always play on a connection that is at least 20 mbps down and at least 5 up and if it gets bad I just stop and go play eso or something lol.

  • "I don't lag in other games!" Why do I doubt the legitimacy of that comment?

I see you've provided nothing constructive to this forum except to box people in groups and label them all as the bad guys. If bungie knew what it was doing at all times I wouldnt be reading these forums in Dutch you loony bin.

  •
I see you've provided nothing constructive to this forum except to box people in groups and label them all as the bad guys.
What have you done to positively contribute? Besides call me a looney bin for pointing out that a specific group of people exists on the forums? Please, enlighten me...
If bungie knew what it was doing at all times I wouldnt be reading these forums in Dutch you loony bin.
Never did I once say that Bungie is a company that can do no wrong, or ant variation therein my friend. With that being said, we aren't talking about the forums, we're talking about the game proper, and chances are that if you're having issues with the game, the issues are on your end. I know this because I've been posting in the Help forums for years, and eventually it tends to come out that people have less than stable internet connections. Also, if it was a problem on Bungies side, wouldn't more people be getting banned or restricted? Or better yet, wouldn't an announcement be made about the issue?

  • The game and the forum are run by the same company lol. Literally says bungie inc on their app. So I say it has a lot to do with the game. They either make mistakes, like we all do, or they don't have enough staff. Or they just chose not to fix it because they dont want to pay for it. We also make mistakes but I'm not the one running a company selling a product either so I'm not held to the same standards. And as far as what have I provided is pointing out how flawed your logic is because you mock statements that thousands of us have used in the past, not because we used those statements to spite anyone or ridicule anyone, but to defend the fact that most of us don't have many internet issues, and we do 90% of the time its companies like comcast/at&t who sell garbage routers at a markup and refuse to fix their service we pay a high price for. If anyone needs to be ridiculed it isnt 90% of us,its mega corporations who dont even give what they advertise.

  • A lot of the people that "don't have issues" have issues dude. Do you know how many times someone has come here saying "my internet is fine" only for it to turn out they're playing on wi-fi with packet loss levels that go through the roof? Tons of them. Do you know how many of those people take my advice on how to fix it? None of them? Do you know how many of those people cone back with the same complaint a month later? All of them. It's a recognizable pattern.

  • You realise the predominant reason most people are on wifi is because ISPs refuse to run more than a line that runs into one room, refuse to allow people to use their own equipment which would cause less issues for many, then everything in a 2,000 square foot area is all using the same wifi, pair that with electronic devices being used, your neighbors using the same frequency as you might. It's cheap and easy to blame someone for having bad internet even though almost every time it has absolutely nothing to do with anything they are doing. These same ISPs had no issue running multiple cables in the early 2000s and 90s yet now they are trying to get people hooked up to their xfi gateways (which they charge a monthly fee for) or moca devices which they also charge a monthly fee for.

  • Not managing 1mbps up and down consistently, with livable latency and reasonable packet loss (maybe 1-2% if it absolutely has to be wifi) is not a difficult task at all.

  • You need more than that to play this game. Especially on stadia. You need 20 times the dl speed.

1mbps up and down is exactly what Destiny uses, as outlined by Bungie. You do not need 20mbps up/down but of course having larger bandwidth is an advantage.

  • Kinda glad. Most people are not good people anyways. With that being said I don't know you personally so its not a knock on you or your comment just being honest. Lol. I get the stadia shade every day.

  • That’s when you tell them to send a screenshot of their connection speed.

  • Then you get the classic "I don't have time for this, my internet is fine. Tell Bungie to fix their servers." Post and it's just hilarious.
