They can do both. Like I said, the ornaments I am reffering to are already ornaments within the game. Hardly extra work. The only thing Bungie needs to do is remove the restrictions of only being able to apply FWC ornaments to FWC gear.
-
You do realise that that is already being worked on right?
-
Really? Was it in a twab? I read them every week. Must have missed it. Well good to know. Look forward to put on them OG DO ornaments on all my gear. :)

Every legendary armor can be used as an ornament when transmog comes somewhere in year 4.
-
Well, from what I heard you can turn your favorite armor into ornaments when transmog comes along. But rumor has it that will either cost a lot of bright dust and maybe even silver. And I don't know what the use is in turning an ornament into an ornament. I don't even know if that will be part of the transmog system. Anyway, it would be weird since we already did a quest back in year 1 to earn those ornaments. Then we went from armor 0.0 to armor 1.0 in year 2 and all the armor those ornaments could be put on became useless. It just feels weird to have to pay bright dust or silver for something you already unlocked through a quest. It would just be super nice of Bungie to remove the restrictions.

They said silver AND another earnable material so either or.

Hammer and nail anyone? I can never wrap my head around the community begging for old stuff to be brought back into the game then getting mad when Bungie dies just that. No thanks, I’m looking forward
-
Don’t be silly. Eververse gets the new stuff, not the gameplay.
-
Why? True endgame is fashion. Everyone knows this.
-
Wouldn't that be something. Getting new stuff and having access to old stuff!

While I agree, I was still a fan of the FWC hunter helmet that was an advert with the scrolling logo. 😂
