Unless you have the catalyst. It’s package a disgusting amount of damage.
-
In PVE its useless, but I can see its use in PVP. I haven't fully upgraded the catalyst and tested it in PVP with the new heavy system, but I can see it being good.
-
Acrius is a bit niche due to being a shotgun, but it’s got DPS that almost contends with -blam!-ing swords, lmao. The thing is a beast as it is.
-
Well, technically, it's much worse than swords. It does about the dps of Xeno, but it has the benefit of never reloading, as reload cancelling with it keeps the number consistent.
-
Assuming you’ve got the catalyst, the Acrius surpasses basically everything that isn’t a sword. It’s just, of course, it’s a shotgun. So it’s inherently more niche, but by no means is it useless.
-
No, it does Xeno dps, and swords easily beat it out. The catalyst does nothing, as the reload is the same as the RPM, allowing you to fire 1 shot and reload cancel the next. Trust me mate.
-
Acrius actually has a good bit more DPS than Xeno. That’s not really up for debate. And swords being overtuned doesn’t just automatically translate to other things being bad. They’re just overtuned as hell.
-
Trust me mate, you can run the numbers. I can if you would like, but trust me, Xeno and it have pretty much the same dps.
-
You can say that as much as you’d like, but it doesn’t make it true. Acrius does about the same amount of total damage but it’s emptying its reserves several seconds faster than Xeno. It’s more niche, but in raw output Acrius is objectively superior.
-
You are right, acrius does do about 10k more dps. I thought xeno did about the same burst as acrius but acrius did more sustained, but you are right, Acrius does more in both. However, Swords do beat it out by at least 9k dps.
-
And that’s a given, considering the sword rework plus lucent blade. Assuming they don’t tweak anything, swords will likely remain the kings of damage numbers. Specifically the Guillotine.
-
Correct. You were right about Acrius. I knew it did more, but not that much.
-
If Acrius took special ammo, It would be trivial to get a we ran in every match. You can kill an entire 6 man stack with one shot on a control point.
-
You can do the same thing with a sniper but from longer range. In fact, that is pretty much impossible with Acrius, as it only has 9.5 meters of range, and last I checked most gaurdians don't line up in a perfect line cheek to tip. Also, it has 2 in the mag and is the slowest firing weapon other than a rocket in a game. Come on.
-
Spread isn’t range. You can merk multiple people in a single shot due to the spread. Like tractor cannon, it basically will vaporise anything in your field of view. ‘Come on.’

Edited by WishingForRivenTentaclesTV: 10/21/2020 11:05:11 PMClearly you know nothing about Acrius. It has a 9.5 meter dropoff floor. It fires a blast that does damage like a spread, but does not diminish over the course of it's range, and penitrates enemies. However, at that 9.5 meter threshold, it completely drops off, ie no damage at all, so it is useless past that point. You can look it up.
