So? They gave it the same nerfs they gave black spindle and it's a special and they left it in the heavy slot so it basically caught an extra layer of nerf by leaving it there.
-
So if they move it it will weaken it. Why.

Edited by PraiseTheSun \lTl/: 10/19/2020 8:02:04 PMIt's already been weakened by staying a heavy weapon is what I'm saying. did you read and digest what my initial comment said? Or did you just look to reply? You don't even really play PvE what do you care?
-
Also, I do dabble in pve when I think it's relevant dude. I know how to raid. I know how to survive in ordeals. I also heavily used black spindle in d1 in vog, and king's fall....minus oryx, but I had touch of malice too.

Read my other comments to op. Your comment made no sense, hence on your premise I don't agree. It is not weaker in the heavy slot it is stronger. What I do think it interesting and a good thought is that it lost its reason for being in the heavy slot. Right now, it's effectively a dps revoker.
-
Edited by PraiseTheSun \lTl/: 10/19/2020 8:23:43 PMHistory of the weapon agrees that it'd be stronger in the secondary slot because that's what it was originally, secondly box breathing and it's catalyst didn't exist back then and it was already one of the best special weapons in the game, if it got moved to the special slot it'd be getting a hard buff even if they toned down the damage a bit.
-
I tend to disagree, unless they left the perk the exact same as it is currently. If whispered breathing is nerfed then it becomes much weaker.
-
Edited by PraiseTheSun \lTl/: 10/19/2020 8:24:08 PMYou may disagree, but like I said the history of the weapon says otherwise. I don't see why they'd nerf the perk of the weapon instead of the base damage considering how much it's already been nerfed and how much easier it'd probably be to tone based damage over a perk, but Bungie.
-
that's exactly what he means he like the idea just skeptical about how bungie would handle it
-
no it's worse where it is and has ALREADY been nerfed that's why it should be moved
-
But the only thing "nerfed" was its ammo. If you don't miss or have heavy ammo finder you're fine.
-
i don't think you get the point whisper is the d2 version of black spindle right there literally the same weapon except whispers in the heavy slot because of the fact you could have next to infinite ammo now that that's practically gone it has no real reason being there give it the same treatment as black spindle and make whisper to Izanagi what beloved is to revoker
-
There is no primary/special sniper in the game(besides one exotic primary but not in the same class or purpose of Whisper) that even comes close to the damage numbers Whisper does since it is in the heavy slot still. Plus everyone knew the white nail perk was going to be nerfed from day 1.
-
Edited by Hatter: 10/19/2020 7:56:49 PMOh I see.... you're saying it lost its reason for being in the heavy slot. Ok, put in that way, I can see what you're getting at.
-
-
i'm thinking putting it in the same damage range as izanagi's would balance the fact that it's in the energy slot and it won't be a must have for every raid ever
-
Mmmm.....I'd argue it should be stronger than izanagis. Don't get me wrong. This is an interesting idea. I'm playing devil's advocate here. I would love to get more use out of whisper.
-
of course it's a taken sniper it feels powerful and i want it to stay that way it just doesn't have to be heavy to do that
