Typically when retailers do this they have a 2nd code for pre-release items

They don't have any codes currently. I'm wondering if it's been cancelled as a preorder and turned into advanced payment for a release copy, hence my teaching out to bungie to see what can be done here.

I would recommend talking with the retailer and have them verify what exactly you are going to be receiving with said code.
