Weekend Poll: The Ocean Breathes Salty
Took a break last week for my birthday and went to the coast for a getaway. Got me wondering though: There are a lot of people who live in landlocked areas and have these people been to and swam in the ocean before? I have always lived in a place close to an Ocean and maybe I've taken that for granted.
So:

1 ReplyI've been to a beach in Florida and one in Rocky Point, Mexico. My great-grandma lived in Florida at the time, so we visited her once and went to the beach while we were there. Two things I remember from that trip: my great-grandma drove us and my mom was scared for our lives; and I was boogie boarding and ended up needing a lifeguard to save me after a wave pushed me under. For the Mexico trip, we were there because my stepdad used to build and race dune buggies, and his next race was in Rocky Point. I don't really remember much about this one except for a woman selling mangoes on sticks on the beach.
