Hey! I’ve got a couple tips that could help. 1. Extend the voltaic timer. As you pick up the hairball(that’s what I call the voltaic), wait for it to pulse three times before picking it up. This will extend the length of time before the next drop by about three seconds, and three seconds matters a lot for the mote team. 2. Slugs are your Best Friend! The best is the First-In Last-Out from the Drifter Umbrals, as it can get Assault Mag. If you don’t have that, you can pull the Unification (year one slug with full auto) or just use the Chaperone. They do the damage of snipers without the zoom. With it you can solo break all three eyes, but I would still get other people to help. It’s kinda annoying to do, but not impossible. 3. For the dps phase, a great strat is to wait to break the final eye until everyone is ready. There’s a time limit, but it’s pretty lengthy, and very lenient. Also, if you don’t get it done one week, just run fresh runs of the raid without the div puzzles to get the chests, and shoot for the <Enhanced Relay Defender> mod. Having for of those on during a damage phase is +40% damage for the first bit of the damage phase, and it stacks with Well/Weapons of Light. Hope that helped! Good luck!

  • Alright! Thanks, those will probably help a lot! I have a First in, last out, but would a Blasphemy shotgun work? And about the damage phase, people tell me Xeno works, is that true? Thank you again man!

Yes! I didn’t recommend Blasphemy because it’s getting sunset, but it works just as well. Xeno is really consistent for boss damage as well. It outdamages things like whisper. My personal strategy, though, is I use the Falling Guillotine. You can Sword dps through the first half of the damage phase, then pull out whatever special weapon you have. For me it’s usually Izanagi, but if you want to use a kinetic slug for eyes then try pulling some Ikelos sniper rifles from Umbral Engrams. Any one with Fourth Times the Charm should do. Don’t worry about a perfect roll, and just to clarify, primary weapons aren’t really needed in this encounter if you’re using a special to break eyes.

  • You said you use falling guillotine on dps phase, which is a great idea, but doesn't your team wipe if you get too close to the boss? Thanks for letting me know about Blasphemy!

No, actually. After the red eyes are broken and the single white eye is revealed, you can just wail away at the boss with a sword and nothing bad will happen. After a couple seconds, though, the boss will be moving too fast to catch up to with Sword lunge, so you have to switch to another weapon.

  • Oh, ok! I'll make sure to try that. Thank you!
