I have written a few neat short stories.. ..but they are quite gruesome. Most of them are surrounded by darkness.. violence.. but what truely motivates me is the mystery and humanity. I'd have to study years in avenues of sciences to be satisfied with my own basis for a story. My OCD is very particular in making sure a sci-fi is correct, not just a cliche. The amount of detail would mirror a Tom Clancy novel, as I am a veteran as well.. ..but I appreciate your belief that I am better than a cookie cutter. I'll work on it.

I never meant to say your work is cookie cutter, just that it could break the mold without any chains attached to it. Fanfic is great, I just don't like the way Bungie worded things about it.

Cayde's humor balanced the heavy, dark and serious tones of Zavala, Ikora and Eris Morn. Nathan Fillion managed it with the appearance of effortlessness that only an expert can do. Other characters make an attempt at humor (poor Brother Vance's character was changed from a mysterious monk to fawning fanboy) that falls short. Cayde is missed, not just because he's a fan favorite but because that balance is no longer there.

Lance Reddick (Zavala) has a knack for leadership roles. Every line in the script he nails like a carpenter shaping a home. Gina Torres (Ikora) has a voice that's smooth and wholesome as a homemade pie. Like a Queen of Cups who holds things together as much as she gives it freely. Lennie James (Shaxx) is a blockbuster of an underdog that can portray any role that's thrown at him. He's pretty funny, but every time I hear or see Shaxx in the field, it gives me goosebumps in anticipation.. ..like a rifle you keep in a case above the bar Todd Haberkorn (The Drifter) is a chameleon that has played so many iconic roles you may not recognize his voice acting. Some people didn't like the season of the Drifter, honestly, I thought it was the most refreshing. Something different was what the game needed, as well as humor. It takes a lot of cahones to do something new, too much and it'll break the box, just enough, and it can bend. His backstory baited me like a hungry fish, but I'm a big fish. That fisherman got a nice tail fin slap as I found out the traitor and dove back in. [i]"Trust!"[/i] says it all. lol To keep this short and not go overboard.. I hope the rest of the crew gets back in the sauce of things, as they are all parts of a greater picture. Last, but certainly not least, every antagonist in the game has had swell voice actors that don't get enough credit. You gotta have great bad guys, too, or it's just sad when you pull the trigger.

An excellent voice cast, yes. Still doesn't change the fact that removing Cayde leaves it unbalanced. Not an actor thing, a writing thing. The Drifter is an interesting addition but still doesn't fill the empty space Cayde occupied. He is not a lovable, flippant rouge.
