Unfortunately, you'll want to request a refund for Walmart; as the games were used, the codes were either used or expired; there are no more physical copies of those games that have working codes. Sony will not replace the expired codes, thus why they told you to speak to Bungie. Bungie doesn't have anything to do with those codes (they were created, handled, and had their expiration date set by Sony), and at the time Destiny 1 came out and was produced, Activision was the production company, not Bungie; Bungie was just the developers. Even with that, the codes worked when they were put into the box and from the point they were sold to retailers, it was even out of Activision's hands. The retailer owned the copy from that point and were in control over its sale, including dealing with defective products due to codes missing/not working. It's unfortunate that the retailer didn't inform you that you were buying just the base Destiny game on disc and the codes wouldn't work. The only way to get the DLC now on Playstation is to purchase it from the Sony Playstation Store.

  • Thanks guys. They were both new and still sealed just in the bin "OF ETERNAL CLOSEOUT". Since I opened them (because how else would you know about this, right?), Walmart is going to give me grief about a refund. Maybe an exchange and I will pick up a PSN card instead. They are picky about software like that. But I will give it a go. I appreciate the quick replies, and I was really hoping there was another way and I might have gotten lucky. So much for that LOL

  • You have physical proof that you purchased a defective product and that you didn't use the included codes because they were expired; there's a date on the cards themselves. Unfortunately, "new" and "unopened" are two different things. The game is in no way new, as the expired codes show. It has been known for several years that the included codes have been expired, and it's on the retailer to inform you of what you're purchasing when it doesn't match the product listed on the box itself. Hopefully you can work with the retailer to get reimbursed so you can purchase what you're truly after. Good luck, Guardian!
