There’s some stuff I’m saving until I find out about transmog There’s some stuff I’m deleting as soon as beyond light drops But there’s still a ton of weapons I plan on keeping because they have unique or good or fun rolls...do I need all of the weapons? No but I like to mix it up in the crucible where sunsetting isn’t a problem

The only reason I’m anywhere close to that is 100 ships for storing glimmer and a bunch of pit armor and exotic is for masterwork material storage.

Each ship stores 3000 glimmer, so 100 ships would be 300K. I have about 1.25 million glimmer stored using transmat effects, which takes up zero vault space. You can store about 5 million glimmer using this technique and still use no vault space, and still have plenty of room for other "Modifications" in your inventory.

5000 per ship, but tell me more about these transmat effects storing glimmer ......

Edited by Kid Backstab: 10/3/2020 3:52:22 PMI thought that the ships cost 5K to pull from collections and returned 3K, but I might have mis-remembered. Anyway, "buy" 3 rare (blue) transmat effects from collections for 1K glimmer each. Then, go to Amanda in the Hangar and have her convert the 3 to a single random legendary transmat effect. This will shard for one legendary shard and 150 glimmer. Transmat effects stack to 999, and don't take up any space you care about, since almost everything else that drops in the "Modifications" tab (like ornaments and ghost projections) can immediately be unlocked onto your account. So, the raw storage of 40 of the 50 slots (leave a few open, just in case) is nearly 40K shards and 6 million glimmer. But, if you want more glimmer from the storage, you can turn the legendary shards into planetary materials from Spider. Each planetary material is buys 500 glimmer from Spider, and costs just 1/5 of a shard, so the legendary shards stored as transmat effects are worth 100M glimmer. You can stack planetary materials to 9999 each, which is 5M glimmer. Spider rotates what he sells, but as long as you have a decent stack of every material, you have quick access to more glimmer than you can possibly use, and the transmat effects allow you to replenish that quick access when you have time. The best part about this is that you can "buy" transmat effects at any time (and in just 1K chunks), so you never hit the glimmer cap and waste gained glimmer from playing the game.
