Hi there,
This seems to be a big issue that a lot of people are encountering. Bungie does not currently have it listed as a known issue, but you can frequently check to see if they add it to the list from [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/257103564?sort=0&page=0]here.[/url]
For now, the only way to avoid this to my knowledge is to claim them before you switch characters again. Other than that, it seems to be a waiting game for a fix. If you go back to your other characters, does the lore come back, or is it still gone?

When I go to other characters the lore is still gone, the exodus evacuation quest self completes on my other characters without giving me the lore.
