I believe there are some videos online on how to essentially "downgrading" or removing an expansion in order to do what you desire in the taken king expansion.
Do you have all of the expansions already? Im going to assume so.
However this may only be possible on xbox from my limited research.

However this may only be possible on xbox from my limited research.[/quote] im on playstation. so i have two accounts, one account has all the dlc’s and expansions, on the other hand i want to start a new account that just would only have taken king for nostalgia and collectable weapons. what i would like to know is whether or not is it possible to just buy the taken king dlc on the playstation store for 20 bucks for my second account and i do know that xbox has that where they can delete individual dlcs which makes me regret buying it on playstation originally.

I don't believe you can get just Taken King anymore. On the other hand, I don't think you'd need to actually buy anything. If you are playing on a new account with the same console as your main account, then you should just be able to gameshare your already owned content.
