Playing Console and PC characters on Steam simultaneously?

I was wondering if there was a way to switch between both my PC and Xbox characters and continue to play all 6 on my PC within short periods of time. If not possible on one account, I would accept such possibility requiring me to unlink my Xbox account from my current Bungie account if using an alternate account is OK. (Cross Save is already off and I'm preparing myself in case I just need to suffer through console framerates again, because compared to 144 fps, 30 is absolutely abysmal and in reality it's usually a max of 20 at best.) Perhaps this could be done by making a secondary Bungie account for an alternate Steam account to relink it to for Cross Save, or even just shortening the cooldown for Cross Save enabling? Frustration and Reasoning:
I am used to using alternate accounts on a few games for additional runs (with both free and paid games, I'll purchase additional copies on my alt account[s]), but I'm unsure if that's ok to do in Destiny 2. I would appreciate the ability to, considering that my efforts in Destiny 1 are still completely unrecognized on my PC characters, despite the fact that all of my accounts are linked to one Bungie account. It's something I've been particularly bitter about especially in early to mid game, since a LOT of the early strikes and adventures have vet content on console. Instead, in the PC version, I'm treated like I don't even know what the Taken are even though I ripped the King's heart out myself. I'm still hit by those moments in endgame and general grinding from time to time, and it's getting increasingly frustrating. I feel like being able to play with my Xbox characters (on PC) would relieve a lot of that frustration. Things like my 5k grimoire score banner and veteran dialogue are missing. The PC version of the game does not give me these features, and I have been playing it since the PC beta. I am unsure if this content even exists on PC, because I didn't want to abandon the PC characters I had been building since before Cross Save was enabled (since the game was unlocked on Battle.net). In fact, I currently have about 3000 hours on my PC characters since Beta, and maybe only a few hundred on console, if even. I'd honestly be somewhat ok if I was only able to get my vet emblems on my PC characters, but supposedly not even this is possible, currently.
• You can create a new Bungie profile, and link either your Xbox or Steam account to that profile. You would then link a secondary Steam account to the profile with your Xbox account, and setup cross-save between those accounts, with Xbox as main. Then it would simply be a matter of switching which Steam account you login to play on, depending on which characters you wish to play. I’ve actually done this myself, as I originally played on Xbox, before switching to PC and building up progress there. Keep in mind that Steam Family Sharing is not available for Destiny, so you would need to purchase any of the paid content for each account.
