Many of these changes are under the hood and won’t affect your experience (except insofar as they help us deliver you more and better Destiny in the future), but some may result in neat improvements, curious behavior differences, or bugs. This means that, on November 10, some places and things will feel a little like Sliders (only 90s kids will get this), so we’d like to give you a rundown of some of the changes and possible side effects. While I am not one to normally say conspiracy theories without direct messaging...a bungie employee said the magic word "sliders" which is about the concept of the multiverse... and it is in the Vex lore they do pull from multiple timelines. Not other universes. So... that is definitely proof of the multiverse... which means multiple guardians are no longer confirmed dead except in ours.
Just stuck in different universes now as that is typically how the multiverse works. You die in one and move to the next or travel to the others. Which means we might be able to reverse impacts made by the darkness entities moving forward.
Thoughts?
Yeah. Not gonna lie, Destiny is already complex as it is when the Vex are concerned. I’d rather not have multiverses bringing in characters as a means of reintroducing them to the story etc.

Edited by PhNx Hellfire: 10/4/2020 2:03:55 AMAgreed regarding the vex, but there is a longer story being told here which dates back to our first encounters on Venus and VoG days. I personally think there is a reason it's been a topic where the vex is concerned for this long because its relevant. Why allow such a loose end to remain open otherwise. But it could be simple oversight or conjecture too. The fact is, we have to be able to explain what happens to guardians who simply disintegrate or disappear from lore and the multiverse has an explanation for that where the Vex are concerned. Perhaps there is a secondary faction trying to get light and dark into balance and folding us into the pieces it needs for that purpose. Atheon itself allowed the shield to be used against it. If Time's Conflux allowed it, then it was part of a purpose. The question still is what purpose did that fulfill?
