SBMM caused PvP to be terrible with everyone running the most BS loadouts like spamming Slide with a Shotgun
Just look at Cold War's alpha and the massive amount of negative feedback due to SBMM being enabled
The higher you go, the worse it gets due to everyone else abusing the game and its mechanics for cheap kills
Leave SBMM to competitive modes
SBMM caused PvP to be terrible with everyone running the most BS loadouts like spamming Slide with a Shotgun
No. The fact that you're playing a space magic game, and people who are drawn to compeitive games like to WIN.... ...and that is the best way to WIN at this game.... ....is responsible for that.
Leave SBMM to competitive modes
Overtime, that's all you're going to have left. Only it will just be called CBMM....in name only. Make the experience for average and low-skill players miserable? And all you'll succeed in doing is chasing them out of the game. Average daily Crucible engagement has plummeted from around 500K players per day, down to 350K (and often less) per day since the switch back to CBMM. Just like it was the last time the game pushed CBMM. Do you really think that high skill and low-skill players left the game in equal proportions? If you do, I've got a bridge that I'd like to sell you.

Destiny Competitive game Pick 1 Additionally pick 1 when you join one of the non competitive gamemodes
-
Missed the point.
-
Did i? You said its a competitive game when its not and have a competitive mode for those who want to be

Still missing the point. This is 2020...not 2005...and this games player base isn’t made up of shooter gamers, nor is its focus pvp. This games player base isn’t going to tolerate being set up to be pubstomped or stat-farmed for someone else’s enjoyment, and then fall for the line, “Oh it’s good for you. It’s the only way you get better.” Every time Bungie allows the player base a choice between SBMM or CBMM the vast majority choose SBMM, and the CBMM playlist collapses... ....and when Bungie forces the issue by removing SBMM to prop up that CBMM playlist, player engagement always drops to historic lows.

I disagree with the shotgun portion but I’m aboard with the rest of your post.

How is sliding and shotgunning abusing the mechanics ?
-
Because he doesn't like it, and finds it frustrating.

"How is making your hitbox instantly drop to the floor and giving artificial extra range to a 1 shot gun abusing the mechanics?" Argh gee i dunno

It's not abuse to play smart.
